I would let the team behind the Attack on Titan anime along with Hajime Iseyama to helppen the script and design the characters for a Godzilla anime TV series.

Sadly since the anime films weren't a major success and had mixed reception, I don't think Toho will do more animated stuff for a while which is really sad. A godzilla anime show or another film has so much potential.

The creators said that is the trilogy got a positive response from fans they would be open to making a prequel trilogy based on the novels. I don't think that's going to happen now...

For me it did not work. It was a good anime overall but a horrible Godzilla movie. He just stands there like a mountain and did nothing. Mechagodzilla was a city, Ghidorah a worm... or three. Sorry, but it`s not my conception of kaiju action.

I thought the Monster Apocalypse and Project Mechagodzilla novels sounded interesting but I don't know how they read or what their actual stories are like. So for all I know a potential prequel anime could have the exact same problems as the films, except with more monster action.

Don't forget, Mothra was a passing shadow, her egg was a cameo set prop.

I wouldn't mind another animated Godzilla film, as long as it has nothing to due with this.

Why would it? It's story is complete.

Well, I've seen a few people say that they should make movies based on the prequel novels. I honestly don't want that, as I think it would be an over crowded mess, sort of like Final Wars but with a much more OP Godzilla.

I can see that. I'll have to agree.

I didn't mind this trilogy all that much. It was a different, interesting concept, and certainly a distinctive chapter in the history of the franchise, and really does deserve credit for taking chances with the execution of its monsters. Like 'em or not, Mechagodzilla and Ghidorah weren't the same old things this time around. The aliens were handled very well, too, with more depth and nuance than average.

I agree that this story has very much run its course, though, and I want something new next time we get a Godziller anime. And I'm confident that there will be a next time, as long as the main movies continue to succeed.

Hopefully next time we can get something that not only does something new, but just feel...more lively overall. I think my biggest issue with the trilogy was how almost everything felt..bland in a sense. They did some pretty interesting things, but the environment, characters, and etc. just wasn't what I hoped it would be.

Better luck next time though. I really do like the concept of animated films in the franchise.

If you have to do a series of weekly animation I boto that the theme is like the two series of Godzilla, in a few words, a group of people for X reasons follow Godzilla, where he faces against a different kaiju every week, a simple formula and effective.
