They remind me a little of baby Otachi.
Sadly, I must make you aware that anything I say is my opinion.

Looks like the legs rotate back, and would make the appearance that he drags himself along. They probably just didn't want to have a pose of that cause it would look even goofier.GFAN198423 wrote:My only disappointment with Kaiju A figure is, isn't it supposed to be on the ground, not on legs.
But yeah,"Kaiju A+B" are both cuties.

I really love Dino-Shin... almost looks like a redesign of Zilla, in a good way. Turkey-Shin is definitely weird as hell, but boy is he still 'cute' in a strangely Vasquez/Burton-esque way.
I absolutely love the idea of a growing Godzilla. Even with the concept of radiation, mutation, etc. potentially removed, it's a completely fitting concept and one that I'm really surprised has hardly ever been played with before.

You almost have to "let go" of Godzilla's original meaning from 1954 and accept this "Shin" meaning to really appreciate it. It's an updated meaning for Japan in the now. Once people realize this they'll accept the movie more. Shin is a very appropriate title that does have literally different meanings that fit in one movie.Mechagigan wrote:I really love Dino-Shin... almost looks like a redesign of Zilla, in a good way. Going off of this, the second form (A.K.A. Kaiju B) seems to be about this big.

It's really good, but, like shin gojira, this is the first time he has appeared. Rebirth sounds more like the second or third time.Godzilla2000Zero wrote:Godzilla RebirthMastergodzilla wrote:While this isn't a spoiler, I just want to say how shin gojira has inspired me. I know you Guys don't know this, but I'm an actor (not famous, sadly) who loves watching movies and reading/writing books. This movie has inspired me to make a book series off of it! Yes it won't be published, but I'm doing it for fun. I may eventually post it somewhere that regards shin gojira.

Can you guys help come up with a name for it?

And the huge mouth and split lower jaw remind me of Otachi as well.Underworld54 wrote:They remind me a little of baby Otachi.
This Godzilla seems one of the strongest and weakest both at the same time. His ray is the most destructive of all Goji's, but if he can be hurt by bombers (like Cloverfield near the end) then I think Clover might have a chance against him (who knows what his ray would do though).
Also being killed by the Yuki Special seems kind of lame-in the future they can just do the same and defeat him much easier since they know what works now.
I also feel they should have used the '54 roar for the final form, and used the weaker roar for his mid-phase.

This. Godzilla is a constantly evolving symbol, and from what I've been reading Shin Godizlla is exactly what the Japanese needed right now, wich is what Godzilla always has been, catharsis.Cookson wrote:You almost have to "let go" of Godzilla's original meaning from 1954 and accept this "Shin" meaning to really appreciate it. When you really get down to the core of Godzlla, Shin is more Godzilla than Goji's been in years, all this "HE AINT A DINOSUAR" or "BACK LASERS AND ASS BLASTING = GINO 2.0" are complaints that while valid to the individual, because everyone has their own personal tastes, don't really hold water in the grand scheme of things because they're just gripes about shallow and un-meaningful aspects that have never defined him.
Godzilla's biology has never been consistent, he gets new power-ups all the time, so while back lasers and tail beams are without a doubt bizarre and arguably unneeded, so was the nuclear pulse, his final breath, his magnetic abilities, his tail slide, his atomic breath flight, and whatever the fuck that was at the end of Final Wars.

Re: Shin Godzilla - The Spoilerific General Discussion Thread
I actually like Shin Gojira's approach to his origin better than Gojira. The Gojira origin worked for the time, an ancient creature awoken by nuclear testing to avenge nature, however, for me, if feels like a bigger stretch that something like that has survived for so long unseen, where Shin is a smaller organism mutated by material, then growing as it feeds off things. Mutations are not uncommon, and I think the fact that our actions essentially make Godzilla vs awakening him, makes what he stands for that much more powerful. In theory, Gojira may never have surfaced if we didn't bomb near him, but Shin is like an inevitability, mess with radiation and such and this consequence will happen no matter what. Shin Gojira seems to take themes Legendary alluded too and actually makes them apparent and poignant with their story and creature.

I will say this, with all that is known of this Godzilla, this version would have made a cool villain, like another Godzilla clone, for the more traditional Godzilla to fight. I don't hate what they did here really, I think it's freaking crazy. But I suppose you can thrown me in with the "it's cool for a different monster, but not Godzilla" group.

Re: Shin Godzilla - The Spoilerific General Discussion Thread
The first two forms will probably be the most favorite thing out of this movie, they're adorable.
People were acting like Shin was going to be the next GMK Godzilla were he is intentionally killing and destroying, but from what I'm reading his mindset seems more like Legendary's. He sees everything around him small and insignificant, the people he has killed and things he has destroyed are simply from things just being in his pathway. He only reacts when the military finally harms him. I really like it when that is done for a kaiju, makes them seem a lot more scary imo.

I prayed Sandra wouldn’t catch a whiff, talk about Endgame....just gross.

Cool idea, but not Godzilla. What a move if the real Godzilla fought this thing, it´s like the Icon he became fighting the horror he was meant to be.
