Encore Films is in Singapore, apparently? So probably Singapore.

San Diego Comic-Con just started, so it would make sense for them to announce the U.S. release date this weekend.M.U.T.O. wrote:I hope they tell us SOON.

Also, tomorrow's Shinnosuke vs Shin Gojira day. It's airing 18 hours from now (considering it's 1am Friday in Japan now).

Re: International cinema releases
Here's some clarification guys:
The movie was SOLD to 100 countries and territories. It's up to those areas whether it'll get a theatrical run or just DVD/BD.
That is from August Ragone. Really, nothing is confirmed yet as far as theatrical screenings.

Very nice! I'm still holding out hope it'll get some kind of theatrical run in China. Even if it's just a week or two.

Awesome for Germany! How long is the theater run there?
I legitimately think this could make 50m in China. Maybe someday.

I doubt it , I honestly don't think that Chinese audiences would like the theme of the movie and the Japanese patriotism that's displayed.

Re: International cinema releases
I mean, it wouldn't be terribly hard to gloss over that bit somehow. They shot whole extra sequences for 12 and Over, surely they could alter a few lines of dialogue. I'm not saying I'm terribly fond of the idea of tampering with the film's message, just that it could be done.
(Or they could just do what I've done and digitally paste a People's Liberation Army cap on Godzilla)
