Most Annoying/Least Favorite monster roar

Eleking's roar is Kamacuras's roar, which is a higher-pitched version of Ebirah's roar (I think).

Personally, I like it.

He's the white one with black spots, no eyes as far as I can tell and weird spinning "ears".

Gabara's roar has always freaked me out.
But I don't hate it.

^ Varan I've never actually heard, but Mothra? Come on, her screeching is classic and suits her perfectly. One of the better kaiju roars, IMO.

They also fit the Metroid hatchling pretty well in Super Metroid.

As to Gorosaurus' roar, it kind of sounds like the shrieking hiss noise that King Ghidorah makes in Godzilla vs. Gigan.
I also notice a sound coming from Showa Rodan in DAM that sounds an awful lot like Megalon's roar. That big bug had some interesting cries, the cockroach squeal, his standard roar, and that creepy "laughing" sound it did when Jet Jaguar landed at its feet.

It's a close tie between Kamacuras' roar and Titanosaurus' roar.

Two for me, and they're both love/hate. The first is Ghidorah's Showa era roar. I like it as it's unique, but it can get annoying and just...doesn't fit a a giant three-headed space dragon to me.

The other is Titanosaurus's. Again, gets annoying to me pretty quick, but again, I like how unique it is, and I think it fits him too.

Ah, yes, that's right.

Personally, I really like Gamera's roar. It sounds very animalistic and ominous.

Varan, Baragon, and Gorosaurus had identical roars, and I cannot tell them apart at all. This is just a pet peeve. I'm not saying I dislike it, but it does get on my nerves.

on a side note, my 5 year old daughter and i watched the 92 GvsM the other day. neither of us had ever seen it before. when battra showed up and started making sounds, my little one looked at me with shock and said, "dad, why does that thing sound like rodan???"

i felt very proud about that.

^ You should. That's an awesome kid, right there. Wish my little brother and sister (four and six years old) would show that much interest. The only kaiju-related thing I've gotten them to care about is Godzilla: Save The Earth, and all they do with that is argue over which monsters to play as, then never actually play.

I'm not trying to derail the thread, but they seemed to get a bit lazy with some of the sound effects in the Heisei series. King Ghidorah and Mecha-King Ghidorah have modified Rodan roars as well.
