If you mean King Kong vs. Godzilla, yeah that was pretty cool. Godzilla melting the tanks was good. I didn't care much for GRA, but I think they did a decent job of trashing minis in that movie, too.

Whoops! Forgot the "'s" for a second there. But yeah, I meant King King vs. Godzilla. I also like the part in Raids Again where Godzilla crushes a small building when he advances on Anguirus at the Osaka castle. You can even see little phone poles!

Any scene involving electrical towers, specifically the scene in GtTHM where Rodan picks up Godzilla and drops him on one. Needless to say, it gets crushed most satisfyingly. Also, from what I've seen, Gorath looks pretty spectacular, as it is a disaster film.

I said in another thread, Teruyoshi Nakano's destruction of mini's were cool. He was one of the best at making stuff go boom. Terror of MechaG had some good stuff in it, along with Gigan and Ghidorah's initial attack on Tokyo. Explosions + fire = coolness.

In GKoTM, I like when Godzilla roars at the clock tower and then demolishes it. It seems like an act of anger, something akin to the lighthouse in The Fog Horn.

Monster Zero when Godzilla is stomping the shit out of the countryside, and also the Terrible Trio's attack on Tokyo contains many awesome shots of destruction, especially from Ghidorah

Destroy all Monsters, where G, Rodan, Mothra, and Manda go beserk amongst the barrage of rockets.

Godzilla vs Gigan, KG and Gigan's ten minute orgy of destruction, just plain awesome, even with all the stock footage.

Godzilla vs mechagodzilla, the battle in the refinery, simply badass.

Every scene in Gojira was amazingly done, but I especially love when Godzilla is leaving Tokyo and he picks up the giant bridge and tosses it aside. The music was very quiet in that scene, and everyone was watching from the banks. It really sold his enormous strength and the fact that he was tearing shit up just out of spite. I also loved the effect of the water crashing through the dam / bridge while he walked through the river in Tokyo. VERY convincing and a very good detail.

I LOVED the scene in RoG where he drops the skyscraper on top of the Super X. For me that's the best scene of the movie, maybe the best destruction scene of the franchise. The weight and size are really convincing and you can just imagine what the guys inside of that little titanium coffin are thinking while they see it falling. Godzilla not only demolished our newest and best structures (that were several times larger than even he was), but he also turned them into a weapon against us.

Edit: Sorry, thought this was in the Toho General. Though technically, RoG IS still Showa...
Gamera: Guardian of Earth and Friend of All Children*

*except those who are currently out of his immediate field of vision. Sorry.

-The destruction by Mecha-Godzilla and Titanosaurus in Terror of Mecha-Godzilla (1975)
-Godzilla destroying the castle in Mothra VS Godzilla (1964)

The mothra vs godzilla destruction scenes are my favorite!
I calculated the odds of this succeeding vs the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead and did it anyways.
