Re: Why did Anguirus have no fangs in GvMG?
Anguirus lost his fangs due to AnguiruSTDs.
But seriously, they most likely fell off.

I actually sorta like it without the fangs... though possibly nostalgic as that's the first incarnation of Angy that I've seen as a kid.

Rumor has it that they took them OFF so anguirus would look weaker and I dunno
Re: Why did Anguirus have no fangs in GvMG?
They removed them because Anguirus kept biting the handlers. Obviously.

Lmao! It's does bother me that Anguirus's fangs are off kilter. I mean, how's he supposed to eat properly with those?RedZillaKing wrote:They removed them because Anguirus kept biting the handlers. Obviously.

Anguirus in Sagami Bay
I've never noticed it until recently, but Angy's face looks like it has oil or some other black substance on it, as well as some yellow spots on him when he's in the bay. Is that normal for him in Godzilla vs. Gigan or is just that the suit's degradation from the time between DAM and GvG?

Re: Anguirus in Sagami Bay
I've seen what youre talking about; it's likely water damage and mold, since they tend to film such water scenes last.
I doubt it'd be a new suit; the budget was too tight to allow for something like that. If you look at anguirus in va mechagodzilla, he looks trashed before the battle even begins, likely from all the water damage in previous films.

Re: Anguirus in Sagami Bay
It probably is due to the age and wear of the suit.

If they dropped the carapace wing-like flaps, Heisei Anguirus would have made for a pretty sweet-looking figure in any design by the Trendmasters toy line, or even Bandai's Vinyl figure lines.Rody wrote:I do like the original suit's more formidable, crocodile-like face...

Showa anguirus has one of my favorite designs
I calculated the odds of this succeeding vs the odds I was doing something incredibly stupid, and I went ahead and did it anyways.

It is mine as well, only, the only thing that bothers me about it is that Anguirus's fangs are off kilter. I mean, how's he supposed to properly eat his food with those?Kugasami wrote:Showa anguirus has one of my favorite designs

zilla is in his own leagues, it will be like fasing ultraman vs toho, he will rape the crap out of them.

They should have stuck much closer to the concept art for the face and neck and tucked his crest closer to the eyes like this shows...Legion1979 wrote:Exactly what the GFW version was missing...JGAR4Entertainment wrote:I love his fangs and teeth, gives it a scary look.
Then what we got...
A longer nasal horn, and the horn placement do make a big difference in an Anguirus design.
Even the Heisei Anguirus had a frightening maw...

Anguirus has small dog syndrome, but thats why I always loved him. You can be sure whoever the opponent may be he'll fight to the death, or at least very near death.

Re: Monster Discussion #2: Anguirus (Showa)
I'm not for sure. Just like the suit for the 1955 Anguirus , the carapace would split in two. I thought it was meant as a threatening measure against an attacking monster, like how a puffer fish works.JGAR4Entertainment wrote:Is that Hesei Anguirus supposed to fly???
