I just watched the Neon Genesis Evangelion episode that aparently references Jet Jaguar: http://www.tohokingdom.com/articles/art ... tative.htm

Wich makes me ask... what about an "Eva-esque" Jet Jaguar?

If JJ must have a beam or projectile, mount a laser or rocket launcher on his arm.

Give him more agility to execute his moves, maybe?

He's high on his love for all the good people of the world! Especially young inventors in bell bottom pants!

Edgaguirus's idea of wrist rockets or lasers sounds good to me in all seriousness though

lol, its the exact opposite for me, ZF is cool and all, but he's even more ultraman like than Jet, and I can't see him starring in a Godzilla movie as a serious character, maybe in a new TV series or something but not as a Godzilla character.

If Jet was given wrist rockets akin to ZF's then it would make a nice tribute to him but thats about it.

You are aware that JJ, Gigan, Megalon and several others were not originally serious characters nor did they start off in serious flicks, right? Just saying.

I know, I'm just saying that JJ, as an android, could be more realistically and effectively updated for modern times than ZF, an alien superhero from outerspace (at least in a godzilla movie, ZF could appear as originally portrayed in a new TV series just as Ultraman has been reinvented again and again).

Ah, he's a clown then.
That explains the multi-colored tights.

There. Updated Jet Jaguar.
It can't be a modern Jet Jaguar because Gundams doesn't fight monsters of the week like Go Nagai's robots.

I'm gone for a week and I come back to see you lawless hooligans saying things like "Jet Jaguar should be a Gundam"?

I need to get all kinds of Clint Eastwood on this tasteless, one horse town.

I agree Jet shouldn't be made into a Gundam, but what are your thoughts on him being updated for modern times as Moguera, MechaG, and other monsters have over the years?

P.S. welcome back, I'm new :huge:

Anyone who thinks JJ or Zone are anything like Ultraman needs to watch more Ultraman.

JJ doesn't need to be updated 'cause he won't be back.
I used to be a lot more optimistic and outgoing, believe it or not. I used to actually be passionate about this stuff.

I'm thinking the opposite. JJ should remain human size, and either pilots the larger robot(JJ2) or JJ's program is tranferred into JJ2's.
