That doesn't rule out a giant bat bot.

If you don't destroy an atomic monster with the first shot, run like hell.

You know damn well that Ash and Godzilla would partner up to beat everyone else down. Maybe they'd have one of those "off to a bad start" comic-superhero fight scenes, but mutual respect (and a desire to fight screwheads together) would put an end to that quickly.

...This is by far the dumbest idea for a movie I've ever heard. A giant dinosaur who breathes fire and can't be harmed by conventional weapons against a crazy man who dresses up like a bat and fights crime....How is that a fair fight? Let alone an interesting hour and a half film?

And don't give me that "Batman could make a giant robot to fight Godzilla!" That robot wouldn't last any longer than five seconds in a fight against Godzilla. It wouldn't do anything, it would be easily destroyed, and it would take a LONG time for Batman to build something like that. There is no way that it would be a good fight in the film. Hell, there is no way that any fight in that kind of film would be a fair fight. Batman can't do a damn thing to Godzilla.

Could this be an funny short film? Maybe. It could be similar to "Bambi vs. Godzilla". Very short and a few quick laughs. But a full-length feature film? There is no way this would ever work. I'm so glad this was never made into a film.

I'm somewhat skeptical of this to be honest. I mean, there have been incredibly strange movies before, but the concept of having Batman fight Godzilla and turning it into a feature film is just too far out there. If this movie was really being planed at one time, I am relived that the project never reached the light of day. Ok, so maybe some directors could pull it off reasonable well, but I wouldn't count on it.

I could see Banno doing Batman vs Godzilla though.

If this had been made, it probably would have been:

1: so bad that it's painful to watch

2: so bad that it's hilariously good

Either way, it's probably just as well it never happened. It's hilarious to imagine though.

I still don't think anyone at 1960s Toho would have been dumb enough to even consider such a braindead idea.

Something like that appears to be what happened according to TK:
... the concept never got far enough for a full fledged script to have been created. There are many questions related to the proposal still unknown as well, such as if DC comics was ever actually approached with the idea or not.
