How do Aliens always manage to get their hands on Ghidorah?

Postby Tormentor » Fri Sep 17, 2010 3:16 pm

Today me and my friends on the bus (Leaving from high school since the day was now over) were talking about Godzilla and other kaiju. One of my friends named Greg, he's somewhat new to the Godzilla World/Community and he's starting out with the Showa series first. He recently watched Godzilla vs. Gigan on DVD yesterday, and while we were talking about if the Godzilla from TOKYO S.O.S died or not, he asked a question that really left most of us puzzled and couldn't really find a way of answering.

Greg:
"If Ghidorah is the most strongest kaiju and is so powerful that he can destroy worlds, and even give Godzilla and Rodan a hard time. How in the hell does he keep falling under Alien mind-control in almost every movie that he's in?"

King Ghidorah is one of the most powerful kaiju within the showa timeline. Probably a second placer to Hedorah IMO. But he does bring up a good point. KG is a strong costumer, and probably has a bit of intelligence somewhere in those heads of his. But after looking at each Showa film he was in, he was mostly controlled in each and every one of them.

He was controlled in:
Godzilla vs. Monster Zero
Godzilla vs. Gigan
Destroy All Monsters

Was not controlled:
Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster, his debut film.

Y'see, King Ghidorah's normal strength and viciousness is just a cover. He actually LOVES to be dominated. And being mind-controlled is the ultimate form of domination. He gets off on it.

You want a serious answer?

The scripts for the movies called for him to be mind controlled.

There. That's a serious answer. It's also boring as hell.

King Ghidorah lacks sentient intelligence, making him easy to control.

Also Tormentor you forgot to mention his appearance in Zone Fighter.

Ghidorah's an extraterrestrial mercenary for hire.

If you were an alien race, wouldn't you want the King of Terror as a weapon?

But this has actually always bothered me. I really hope that someday we'll get see Ghidorah turn on and destroy his alien "masters".

I like to think they see Ghidorah in a catalog and rent him for a while.

The aliens want the best weapon possible, and Ghidorah fits the bill. I imagine there's some networking between the aliens, and they share Ghidorah. They simply ask or buy for his use, like in G vs Megalon.

Too be fair even when they lose control of Ghidorah he keeps on fighting like in Godzilla vs Gigan. And yeah what a lot of people say, who wouldn't want the planet killer as a weapon.

I do wish that he would go back to being like he was in GTTHM, a evil but free creature who kills off entire planets for shits and giggles.

I don't think you know what sentient means, 'cause KG is very clearly sentient.

Sentient means human level intellect, right?

No, sentient just means something is conscious.

The Xiliens put him on loan. They just had to make sure they returned him in the condition he was rented.

Yeah too bad that Ghidorah was wasted on a kids movie and not even a Godzilla one. He was so awesome so imagine what a fight between GKG and G would have been like. Red Spiral Ray clashing with Light Shield? Count me in.
