If you haven't seen both then you probably shouldn't vote..

I voted Gojira because I registered as a Kaijucrat. That's how elections work, right?

Re: Seven Samurai or Gojira?
"Prefer" can mean a lot of things.
Personally, I have refrained from voting. I love both movies. Kurosawa's displays more elaborate filmmaking prowess, but I have a closer personal and nostalgic relationship with Honda's. I imagine a lot of people are voting for Gojira because of that personal attachment.
But, y'know, I guess that's a good excuse for some board members to take presumptuous, pretentious jabs, because - well, really, it's not like you need an excuse, anyway.

Tokyo, a smoldering memorial to the unknown, an unknown which at this very moment still prevails and could at any time lash out with its terrible destruction anywhere else in the world.

I've only seen Seven Samurai once, whereas I've grown up knowing Gojira, or at least King of the Monsters!. I think I need to be more familiar with Seven Samurai before I can choose which film I enjoy more.
Both of them make it into my "top 10 greatest/favorite movies I've seen" list.
