'75 is my top favorite.
Second is '54 and third favorite would be '68.

Re: Favorite Godzilla Suit of the Showa Series
I've already mentioned my favorite Showa suits in other threads so I'll just rank all the Showa suits here according to preference. From best to worst in my opinion:
Shodai
Mosugoji
Soshingeki
Megaro
Daisenso
Kingoji
Gyakushu
Musuko
I rather like the first three, am neutral on the next two, and don't really care much for the bottom three.

Re: Favorite Godzilla Suit of the Showa Series
1.KingGoji. I like the brutish and reptilian look to it. I love his clapping too. He is the "King" of the Showa suits (pun intended)
2.MosuGoji. The eyes, the eyes! Very intimidating.
3.ShodaiGoji. The classic original. He looks cool up close and far away. His eyes look like they are looking through your soul.
4.SoshingekiGoji. He looks pretty kid-friendly, but I like how he looks none the less.
5.MegaroGoji. The pinnacle of kid-friendliness, still looks OK though. Love the dorsal plates on this one.
6.GyakushuGoji. His face and eyes look weird but it gives the fatherly look
6.MusukoGoji. A bad looking ShodaiGoji, but his fangs look good, and the slimness is okay.
But I love ALL these suits, they all look good in their own right!

Toss up between Mosugoji and Shodaigoji.

KingGoji. Has nothing to do with being one of my favorite showa films. Always liked this suit.

Re: Favorite Godzilla Suit of the Showa Series
The original is obviously my favourite since it established the whole look of the character and essentially has a presence and vibe that is quite unique to it.
The 1964 iteration has also a lot going for it especially that 'fixed brow' (like a lot of grass snakes) that creates a permanent fixed grumpy/angry expression
I also have a personal soft spot for the 75 suit, it being from the first japanese Godzilla I saw. The friendly-pulp version of Godzilla

Re: Favorite Godzilla Suit of the Showa Series
1. 1954: My favorite Godzilla design even outside the Showa series.
2. 1964: Not surprising to see this one here. I like his brows that pull off that angry expression perfectly, and long claws. His body proportions are also perfect. Probably my fourth or fifth favorite design over all.
And following way behind those two:
3. 1965/1966: I'm not really a huge fan of much of the later Showa suits due to their overly humanoid appearance, frog-like faces, and enormous cartoonish eyes, but something about this suit clicks with me where the later Showa suits don't. I don't think I can really explain it. In the grand scale of things outside the Showa series it pretty much sits in the middle of my list.

I like 54, 62, 64, and 73-75 the best. That said, I find something to enjoy from every Godzilla suit. Even the repulsive one from Son of Godzilla has its own charm.

I'll have to go with the kingoji suit. The suit IMO looks extremely realistic and also looks like a prototype version of the miregoji suit.
