I'm not quite sure. When Classic Media decided to renew the contracts for the Godzilla films,RODAN, and WOTG in 2005, the new deal gave them the rights to use the US and Japanese versions of each film (international and other foreign versions were not part of the agreement), with Toho providing Japanese versions and (if needed) whatever US versions they had. So going by how all the other films were handled, Toho would have had to provide a Japanese version of NOSTRADAMUS had Classic Media kept the license for that title. According to paperwork I have from Classic Media, for the Japanese versions Toho provided new transfers from 35mm low contrast prints. Whether Toho would have done the same for NOSTRADAMUS is unknown, but my guess is they would have at least tried to be consistent.
