MechaGodzilla or Hedorah? Who was tougher to Defeat for G?

Hedorah is not a tragic Villain, He blinded a man, crapped on Godzilla several times and he probable split himself on purpose just to get strong enough to fight Godzilla.

As I said before Godzilla just lacked a way to beat Hedorah, this plus Hedorah's smog and acid is the only reason Godzilla started to lose as with MechaG it was either an advanced version of himself or two on 1.

Hedorah still gets hardest to beat though.

Both Mechagodzilla & Hedorah were two of the toughest monsters Godzilla had ever faced.

Mechagodzilla for his long ranged weapons like his missiles, eye lasers & his spinning shield
Hedorah for his durability being able to withstand anything Godzilla can throw at him. But for me, I'd say Hedorah is the hardest foe for Godzilla. Hedorah withstood anything Godzilla can do to him: atomic breath & punches and without help from the army Godzilla is screwed. Mechagodzilla while a tough foe, however like alot of machines he is easily pulled by a magnet and also as seen he has issues when Godzilla fights him at a close range.

If Hedorah appeared in a new Godzilla movie and the military wasn't there to aid Godzilla, the filmmakers would probably introduce another Chekvhov's gun early on that would allow Godzilla to defeat him, like Godzilla's magnetic force in MECHAGODZILLA.

Well mechagodzilla was made to be the perfect Godzilla killing machine and hedorah is basically indestructible so I would say there kinda even. Without help, G would have lost probably against both. Maybe a good way of figuring this out would having the two fight each other but eh idk.

Hedorah simply because you cant really hurt him but in the end he was defeated using human technology, so he isn't really powerful in a tradtional sense whereas when mecha g runs out of ammo he is screwed. In a one on fight G would take mecha G but for hedorah he would need some kind of drying out device or maybe just spam the atomic ray.

There's also the fact that Godzilla's atomic ray has generally increased in strength over the years, so it would probably do more damage to Hedorah in a modern film.
That said, I'm sure Godzilla would still be challenged to stop him.
