I guess I'd have to go with

Re: DAM Rodan: The Suit
I like fire rodan just a bit more than the original
I think Fire Rodan is the weakest design.
I do admit that his size is a fault. He should have been a lot bigger. And quite small. Remember getting my SH Monsterarts 90's Godzilla then took a look at the rodan SH. Since all of them were movie height, alot of people were saying how small the toy was. hardly worth $60, didn't get the toy.

I've always seen the reduction in Rodan's size as a nice touch. The same-size-ness of kaiju when they meet up (even if they were completely different sizes in their separate appearances) always struck me as a frustrating limit of the suitmation approach.

Re: DAM Rodan: The Suit
I have usually prefered Rodan to be closer in size to Godzilla - but I have to admit, his smaller size in '93 made his beat-down of Godzilla much more impressive.

Re: DAM Rodan: The Suit
To me I view the 56 Rodan suit the same way I view the 54 Godzilla suit, they work for debut films and as such are favorites to me but I wouldn't want to see them in a versus film. Basically when I see 56 Rodan I'm thinking of Rodan in his own film not a co-star to Godzilla.
The 64/65 Rodan suit will always be my favorite though as they were the 1st movies I ever saw Rodan and just looks like the best Rodan period to me.
According to this Rodan got a new suit in DAM? Is this an error on the wiki or what?

Rodan '56 and Rodan '93 are the best imo. FW Rodan is on the absolute bottom of my list.

I know the FW rodan was ugly, but how can it be worse than the dam one.Gyaos wrote:Rodan '56 and Rodan '93 are the best imo. FW Rodan is on the absolute bottom of my list.

Re: DAM Rodan: The Suit
The MZ/DAM suit was an awkard realization of a good design. The GFW suit was technically well made, but a hideous design.demoylition wrote:I know the FW rodan was ugly, but how can it be worse than the dam one.Gyaos wrote:Rodan '56 and Rodan '93 are the best imo. Not to mention that it's a picture of the suit rotting.

Ah, yes, I remember that scene well.
Rodan isn't looking too good, though (understandably).

Re: DAM Rodan: The Suit
To you, maybe, but that's pretty extreme.
The suit for Ghidorah The Three Headed Monster and Invasion of Astro Monster, were offensively bad.
Also (again), those are two different suits.
Yes, because it was already a 3-year old suit that had obviously started to rot before filming started. The Destroy All Monsters Rodan suit was equally bad.

Why was the beak on the suit so bent?
