I always thought 60s Rodan was a BIG step down from the '56 version (my favorite), but that's just me. He looked a little too dopey, but I guess that fit his character better in those films.

No, apparently the same costume built for Ghidrah was reused and modified in Monster Zero and DAM. Wikizilla cites a Japanese source, All Toho Monsters Pictorial Book (2014).
