One of the buildings Godzilla destroyed in 1954 will be shutting its doors for good.

;) For half a second, I thought this was a bot post.
Still, it's a shame that the place is closing down after all these years. I guess it is possible fans can start a petition to keep it open (Seeing how fans were able to keep the moisture farm from Star Wars open) but it's highly unlikely.

Perhaps the building itself will remain. It is not known at this point.

That's too bad. I saw a picture of the building, and it's recognizable in the movie.

I think it will, unless the store is being closed because of the age of the building, which is a possibility.
