Lotta powers there, much like Ultraman. Though the powers themselves are rather unique. Especially that TV Teleportation thing. Yeah, what?

So did anyone watch the videos? Gigan's death is something to behold.

Yeah, I saw it. Gigan got shot at, took a few steps, and just fell over and died. I love how foam started coming out his mouth. Poor space-chicken-thing.

I think Glass Cannon is the best description for Zone Fighter.

He has crazy offensive powers, that are more than capable of destroying most of the Godzilla monsters, but lacks the normal defenses one would expect from monsters like Godzilla (and why Godzilla had to save him so often).

Makes one wonder who would come out ahead, Mechagodzilla or Zone Fighter as both seem somewhat similar... although Mechagodzilla can take hits much better for a longer fight (...generally, he went down pretty quickly after Godzilla and Mechagodzilla's first beam exchange) while Zone Fighter has more impressive offensive powers.
