That's really depressing.

Sometimes, a celebrity I like will pass away, and it's not all that emotional. When it's someone like Ms. Ito, who is basically the physical embodiment of innocent joy and nostalgia for me, it strikes a bit more personally.

Even though I don't really know the Peanuts outside of the Godzilla and Mothra movies, they always made a big impact on me and were perhaps the most memorable non-monster characters in the series.

I only knew her in kaiju films as well, but her voice will always be remembered. She and her sister were lovely singers.

I'm reminded of hearing years ago that the Ito sisters made an appearance and sang on The Ed Sullivan Show at one point. Pretty sure CBS never released that footage for the public since it originally aired though...
