Thanos (more specificly MCU's incarnation)



Weird matchup but still kind of interesting to think about.

Arena: Titan
Rules: Thanos has the 4 Infinity Stones he had for most of the film (Space, Reality, Power and Soul)

Abstaining because I don't know enough about Uber Jason to comment and I think Thanos is unbeatable in a story context.

Dude, mismatch. Thanos curbstomps Jason, even without the Infinity Stones.

Thanos immediately flexes his knuckles and melts, burns, disintegrates, etc. Jason.

If he didn't have any stones it could be a decent fight, but the stones are literally world-breaking. Completely one-sided.

Besides Jason constantly loses to teenagers all the time. Stones or not Thanos would stomp him.

Yeah, kinda had a feeling this was gonna be the outcome. Just a crazy idea for a FM.

So, curious question: what if Thanos had no stones? Still win or no?

Thanos is adept at combat and has been training for most of his life. He was easily able to subdue the Hulk, a known powerhouse.

Jason is mostly slow moving and relies more on power than strategy. But I think Thanos has the combat knowledge to easily avoid his strikes and incapacitate him without much fuss.

Thanos was strong enough to quickly take down Hulk, who's far above Jason.

Agree with most of this, but I gotta say I don't think beating Hulk is an example of Thanos's strength.

Remember, at that point in the movie, Thanos had the Power Stone, a reality altering gem with the express purpose of strenghting those who could wield it (as well as some fun lasers). While I don't doubt Thanos could beat Hulk, I feel like judging his strength from that doesn't really work.

The Power Stone glowed whenever Thanos used it; it wasn't glowing during his fight with Hulk.

And of course, Jason would just show up totally fine in the sequel.

You might want to reconsider the use of the reality stone. With it, Thanos has transmutation powers, spelling Jason's defeat when he turns him into whatever he wants.

What if Thanos makes a mistake with his reality stone and transforms Jason into a being upon whom infinity stones do not work. Like when Ray accidentally thinks of the Stay Puff Marshmellow Man in Ghostbusters.
