Hmmm... While this may seem one sided in Megalon's favor, I feel like Jet Jaguar has a pretty good chance of making a victory. Both of them have pretty similar durability, with only the Seatopian insect being slightly stronger. While Megalon has a lot of firepower, his smaller intelligence limits the use of him using it all the time and whenever it is needed like shown in the 1973 film. Jet Jaguar was the opposite, having a smaller arsenal but possessing a lot more intelligence, as shown when he physically shook hands with Godzilla and used his size changing ability to his advantage. I think Megalon would win, but only by a hair. The battle at night before Gigan arrived between Jet Jaguar and Megalon seemed like a very close and unpredictable battle, but seeing how Megalon shot JJ out of the sky so easily with a napalm bomb and was smart enough to dig underground to surprise attack him, I think he would prevail. It's a very hard match to fully decide on, and I'm most likely going to update this later.

Jet Jaguar vs Megalon

No more are there guys in rubber suits, no more are there fun, silly, kid-friendly Godzillas, no more are the days when you could make out in the back row with your sweetheart and your kid brother could be in the front, eyes glued to the screen. Instead we're left with the gritty, cold world of Hollywood and apocalyptic visions of nightmare creatures.

Re: Jet Jaguar vs Megalon
I honestly viewed it differently. JJ seemed to be handling Megalon well enough until Gigan showed up and turned the tables. I see it being a drawn out battle but Megalon eventually retreats back to his underground domain and JJ is the victor.
