The JP-style dinos are still gonna be there. BioSyn will make their own dinosaurs and those will be the feathered ones

Meh, as long as they don't try and replace my favorites.

I don't think they should. Blue and Rexy/Roberta/The Queen will not have drastic changes to their designs. I just hope that the movie is done in a way that people can have the old and the new. I'm not talking full accuracy, I will eat my hat if a Jurassic property ever does that. But doing Jurassic style on modern dinosaur depictions could be really great if done right.

It is mostly Spider-Man themed, but I'd love to talk cosplay, lightsaber commissions, and countless other topics.

I am hoping for a gigantosaurus and a suchomimus to appear in Dominion. Plus an adult dilophosaurus, of course.

Also happy to hear that they are continuing the trend of using more practical effects than the previous 2 films.

https://boundingintocomics.com/2020/08/ ... -director/

This is a trend in the correct direction. Blockbusters in general really spent a good 10 years(maybe more) almost completely ignoring animatronics in favor of pretty much an all-CGI route.

I mean, look at the state of things in the first Jurassic World. Being generous, MAYBE 5% of the dinosaur shots/effects had some kind of animatronic element. The 2nd film saw a healthy bump from that point. If the 3rd continues that trajectory and uses even more....well then I think that leaves the state of effects heavy blockbuster cinema being left in a better place.

I'm probably just being a Negative Nancy right now but nothing about this feels like Minecraft. The skins are horrible, the dinosaurs look more like modded creatures than official mobs, and that texture pack has to be one of the most unappealing I've seen in my life.

But hey, it's Jurassic World in Minecraft! Because there isn't like 300 mods that do this already!

Wait what? I thought it would be a skin pack that's actually quite remarkable. Its something I thought I would only see in a mod pack not an official DLC

So a quick idea about the possible dinosaur-snow scene, what if this sets up an encounter with an albino dinosaur that blends in with the mountains and you can't see it? Or would that be too similar to the Indominus?

You might be right! Maybe, the dinosaur is a Yutyrannus engineered by Biosyn?

Does anyone else know why divorce is such a prominent trope in the series?

The original JP novel has Lex and Tim's parents undergoing a divorce.
Jurassic Park: The Game has Gerry Harding divorced.
The Lost World touches on Malcom's multiple divorces.
The Kirbys in JP III were divorced.
The parents of the kids in Jurassic World are also getting a divorce.

My only theory is that dinosaurs and divorce are alliterative.
Planet X did nothing wrong. :xilien:

Really, it's just because divorce is the pinnacle of family drama, and well, JP can't just be all about the island and the dinosaurs all the time.

Don't forget it's also mentioned in the first movie.

Oh yeah, thats new.

Looks like some kind of megalosaur. Megalosaurus maybe? Would be a nice addition given its the first dinosaur. Or maybe Eustreptospondylus. That is both more closer to size and semi pop culture famous so it might fit better.

Idk, hyped to see tho.

JP needs to be more original in its human conflicts, methinks. I almost forgot that Battle at Big Rock has a couple of ex-divorcees who started a family.

I hope it is one of those. If this is our first look at the films Pyroraptor, it is...entirely unremarkable and innacurate.

Definitely not a raptor for sure. But yeah, I'm on the Herrera road too.
