I believe Spielberg and Horner discussed the use of feathers but decided against it because it's not what the overall audience want, or something along those lines.

To keep the complain train going, I'm kind of hesitant about seeing the Dilophosaurus again. Absent as they were from the first two sequels, they sort of feel like something unique about the original movie, something that should be left in the past. I love the use they got in JW, just a quick little "remember this guy?" holographic cameo that distracted the raptors for a second, but now I'm not sure I want to see them presumably get a larger role in the next movie.

I will undoubtedly throw this mindset into the nearest dumpster when a Dilo shows up in the trailer, of course.

Dilophosaurus is my favorite dinosaur, so this is great news to me. Hopefully they've improved the genetic engineering process so that they're a bit closer in size to their real life counterparts. That is, much bigger.

I'm not sure if the dilophosaurus will be full sized. It's head in the photo isn't much bigger than a power drill. It's not that far in the background either.

It looks like Metriacanthosaurus will be among the newbies for JW 2's dino roster:

Metriacanthosaurus is anything but a newbie. It was mentioned by name in the book and it's name was on an embryo label in the first movie.

True but in terms of making an appearance, it'll be considered new since this'll be the first time in the series we actually see it.

Video featuring recently unearthed storyboards to the original JURASSIC PARK involving the unfilmed "T-Rex in the lagoon !" chase sequence lifted from the original novel.

Being added this late it's most likely a bit part or cameo. My guess is he'll get interviewed on TV or something. Cool if it's more than that but I don't expect it to be.

James Cromwell has joined the cast as Hammond's old partner:

Also, there's apparently going to be a submarine sequence:

As for Malcolm coming back, well (assuming he will be a key player once again), his interaction with Owen and Claire is sure to be tense at first all things considered.

We have an additional 3 NEW Dinosaur's being confirmed for Jurassic World 2.

These dinosaurs include: Stygimoloch, Baryonyx, & Carnotaurus as well as a variety of returning faces from the Trex to Velociraptors.

Hell Yea to Carnotaurus, and i see Baryonyx will be the replacement for Spinosaurus it seems. Fair enough for me.

Cool choices.

I've been waiting for Baryonyx and Carnotaurus to appear in Jurassic Park.

Stygimoloch is interesting considering they could have just used Pachycephalosaurus.

All right, lots of cool news. I agree that it's unlikely that Ian will be doing anything important, but it'll be great to see him again regardless.

As for all these new dinosaurs, I doubt most of them will be getting significant roles, either. We have three new large carnivores confirmed, on top of the Rex, Raptors, and Dilo we already knew about. It's a safe bet at least one of them will get a major scene, though. Also, I'm calling it now: Metriacanthosaurus will be portrayed with a sail, and will only appear so that Rexy can kill something with a sail.
