Wow, the Jaegers really are like Halo Spartans.

I really hope at least that "mega" kaiju has some personality and emotion.

Is it me or does the CGI seem a little more detailed? I dunno just seemed like when we saw Hakuja getting whipped in the first trailer it seemed less detailed than in this Bravo trailer.

And while I've been a total cheerleader for this movie I might have gotten my first Bayformers humor with that double middle finger action.
Now...hopefully that is the worst the humor goes with that. And it does sort of help highlight that Jaeger team as being immature. I just hope it more sticks with Bravo's team and isn't the general ''''humor''''.

Also glad to hear someone else started the Aftermath comic. Second issue was out yesterday and I bought it with the last few bucks of cash on me. Very lucky since the comic book store's computer was down for cards.

I really like the second issue too. I'm sort of okay with the lead being a bit of a selfish jerk that misses the glamour of being a Jaeger pilot. A nice contrast to say Mako who while a bit revenge driven was mostly about noble principles. And we get our
Spoiler:
mini Jaeger at the very end
. So hopefully this comic nicely blends between the two films. I am super curious what
Spoiler:
Hannibal is up to with the kaiju claw.
. And the back up story with Jake is pretty interesting too. See the writers in the comic seem to be trying to push the world just a little.

That's generally how things work. First trailers never have finalized CGI. Nowadays, each new trailer/spot is basically an update on how far along Post-Production is.

Oh I know that's a thing. I just wasn't sure if it was that, my imagination, me not paying attention, or I was using a different computer when I saw the Bravo trailer.

Just saw the trailer for this.
Blah. It looks terrible. It looks like that Power Rangers movie from last year.

Not big news but DeKnight has confirmed that Ramin Djawadi's Pacific Rim theme will indeed return for this film.

Oh that's really good to hear.

Oh by the way been meaning to bring this up. I think the young girl on the bridge looking at a photo while a kaiju looms over is supposed to be the teenage Jaeger pilot. I dunno it just seems strange for a random extra to carry an old fashioned photograph in the near future.

I forgot about that one, the trailers do show a lot, but there's still a few things under wraps.

I wish they'd offer tickets already. I'm hoping I can see it opening night when I'm on vacation. If it doesn't then I need ask two weeks ahead.

BTW I don't know if people heard but according to some sources the movie is going to be much shorter then its predecessor clocking out at only 98 minutes. I'm personally fine with that. Should mean the movie will be more fast-paced and action packed.

Really? Hearing 1 hour and 50 minutes. Hm wikipedia says 98 minutes now. I hope they didn't cut out a bunch of character interactions, unless they were super bad or annoying. Fandango times also has the longer one. Are the producers trying to cash in on the DC 'extended DVD' money?

Personally I don't mind it being shorter. 90 or more minute films tends to be more fast paced and action packed depending on the film hence no pacing issues or boring moments. Something the 2005 King Kong endured (I do however respect that Peter Jackson was passionate about the film). Not to say I don't like long movies because I do, there's many I do like after all. They just have to be paced good and entertaining enough.

Well if it is Bayformers 2 bad then I'll be grateful for this possible shorter time. If it is good then hopefully it will be the longer.
