My hopes for this film increase by the month. I look forward to this over the Pet Sematary reboot. (Shame as I was looking forward to PS, but it seems like they're changing a lot of the story)

Interesting, Mark Hamill is good choice. Seeing as they're not going to have Brad Dourif come back.

They wanted Brad Dourif, but he turned them down as he is staying loyal Don Mancini and the current series still going on.

I don't see Mark Hamill dropping F bombs, he seems too, happy going? Idk what it is, I don't think his Joker ever dropped F bombs.

Wonder if they'll just play up the toy aspects while suppressing the iconic nasty language

That's good to hear as I don't think the remake will be meh, at best.

God it's really weird that remake is happening as the original series continues, they're doing the same thing with Candyman. So I guess that this is a thing now.

I've been against this remake from the start but casting Mark Hamill as Chucky is kind of genius.
why did i have to be the chosen one?

What do you mean they're doing the same thing with Candyman? The Candyman franchise has been dead for years; the reboot/remake isn't being done alongside another sequel.

Much less alongside an ongoing project still in the control of one of the original creators.

Jordan Peel is dictating a remake of Candyman for 2020.

And Candyman 4 is happening, but is stuck in development hell.

I think it's safe to assume 4 isn't happening.

It wouldn't exactly be unprecedented for both to be in development concurrently since Paramount is still making Transformers 6 alongside their newly-rebooted franchise, but yeah, development hell usually means it'll never come to pass.

Its out...Looks alright... His voice is spot on, but do you expect anything less for Hamill? Anyways a different take since he can now control electronics but his face just looks very off to me I don't know.

Ehhhh the movie looks pretty nice visually and I appreciate the use of practical effects but I'm not feeling it. Waiting for the new series set in the original continuity from Don Mancini to come out.

The trailer was refreshing, brought back the horror vibe long forgotten by Mancini until his 2 rebootequels from a few years ago.

Chucky looks great, he looks like a plastic toy as he should, there seems to be tons of creative deaths as there should and the tone/music fits perfectly.

It's a dam good trailer, this still feels like it was it's one thing to start with before getting the Child's Play name forced into it.

Anyway I'm very glad that they're using practical effects for it.
