That's a little sad to hear for the first in a new trilogy. He did the same in Project Nemesis, and yeah, it was kind of annoying to know how Nemesis came to be before the rest of the main characters did, would have been better to learn it with them. Anyways, Project Legion is not only the 5th book in the Nemesis saga but according to Jeremy's website, Beware of Monsters, it is also the final book of the Nemesis saga.

Oh now I don't mind us learning about Nemesis before the characters. I mean it could have been neat but it wasn't a deal breaker. I just thought it was annoying we learned that Euphemia is tough through the narrator rather than things the character did right in the first chapter.

Welp, it says on the facebook page for American Gothic Press that the hardcover trade for Project Nemesis isn't coming out and might be digital. What the hell? I wouldn't have gotten into AGP if it wasn't for the Project Nemesis comic coming out which I hate to admit.

Started Unity so far, pretty enjoyable for the first 60 pages but I am waiting for the monsters and robot.

Glad the books are turning into comics. I don't have the time to read the novels but reading the comics are simple.

^ You could just read the novels bit by bit a day. They don't have to be done in a day.

So sad that Project Legion is the last book.

Whenever I get to go to the comic shop I always start mimicking the "MISSION:IMPOSSIBLE" theme.

I started but between College, rehabbing a torn ACL, reading all the new Star Wars books and trying to catch up on TV I had to let Nemisis go for the time being.

Holy cow! Did not expect that! I hope Lovecraft isn't brushed aside for that giant monster though.

I got to try to read several other books since I do want to appreciate the crossover more. I guess this is how Robinson gets money from me for his non Kaiju books.

Yes. I feel like Project Legion was a pretty weak entry, made all the worst in that it's the final for the series for now.

Agreed. I thought it and Hyperion were very weak, the payoffs kind of eh. It seemed like Robinson was just trying to make his other book sales go up some by introducing other established characters that we would only get backstory for by reading the other novels. We had basically a literally god finish off the big bad with a flick of the wrist. No characters except for the villains were in danger of being killed off by the end of it. There was absolutely no sacrifice in the end, something at least Nemesis, Maigo, and both 731s had some of that.

I think the potential was much higher for the final two books but they ultimately fell a little flat compared to previous entries.

That said, I still find myself rereading the series on the regular. I think the first three I've gone through four times so far? Hyperion and Legion are going to be hard to reread though.
