How about an IDW version of the PLanet Hulk series. Godzilla is captured by Aliens and taken to a planet where he is forced to fight intergalactic monsters for sport. Eventually Godzilla does what he does best and breaks out wreaking havoc until the aliens are forced to return him back to Earth.

Overdone and cliche story line (even the animated 1998 series did it) but I'd be down for that as well. It'd be cool if they added some new random monsters. IMO Orga would fit in like a Rancor type monster.

King Ghidorah, SpaceGodzilla, Destoroyah, and even Gigan have all gotten plenty of shots as the head villain in various stories. Hedorah, Orga, and Showa Mechagodzilla need their chance in the spotlight. Hedorah could potentially kill the entire planet and everyone on it single handedly, Orga's DNA absorbing powers could be amazing if explored properly, and Mechagodzilla needs to restore his reputation as "ruthless killing machine" and leave that "one hit K.O. Redshirt" nonsense in the dust.
Megalon also needs time to shine, but I can't quite see him as main villain material, at least on his own. Maybe I'm just too used to him being part of a tag team.

Agree with those, who picked Orga and Hedorah. Especially Orga is criminally underused, came out like a wuss in RoE and never got a second chance. Shame that IDW basically took Orga's powers and put them onto Trilopods. RoE could totally use an army of small Orgas and one gigantic one instead of Trilopods and Magita.
Hedorah had some nice spotlight in HGM and Legends, but that's not enough for one of Godzilla's most notorious foes either.
Megalon also wouldn't be a bad choice, but I don't see him as a main villain, more like a secondary one.
Desghidorah, Legion or Dagahra would be my first picks, but we ain't gonna seem 'em, for obvious reasons. Sigh...
I switched my vote from Gigan to Megaguirus. While I think her movie was complete garbage, the character had an awesome design and abilities. I think she could handle her own villain arc.
