Well part of it is I was kind of on a major roll prior to the drought we had and sent in a lot of them, so that's probably part of the reason.

And if a new game was announced I bet you'd be like the rest of us and be saying "please put Hedorah in the game". ...I just realized Hedorah is pretty much our answer to Rain in Mortal Kombat. Almost everyone wants him to be in a game.

Even though I enjoyed the match, I could already tell who was gonna win before I even started reading the match and that kinda took away some of the fun for me.

Long story. He did show up in Godzilla for the Turbo Duo but almost no one owns either the game or consle. And Atari/Pipeworks were gonna make him a playable combatant in Godzilla: Unleashed but, yeah long story if you wanna know the basic jist they wantted to do this advance sort of slime shifting effect with him like Muck and Glimer in Pokemon Stadum or the T-1000 in Terminator 2 but abandon him all together when they realized the shifting effecting would be months work when they can use that time to work on 3 or 4 other monsters.

They could have just put him in without the effect but they reason people would not like that. Big mistake as that ended up being one of the many big complaints with the game. TG can fill in any blanks so if you have questions you can ask him. He's almost as bitter about it as me.

The animation and the model itself would be extremely time consuming. So yeah... Pretty extreme stuff with a slimy blob.

Yeah Pipworks could have done it if given more time but Atari and Toho are not exactly known for giving enough time.

Well regardless, It was a well written match and Godzilla reclaimed his throne. I figured out what I am going to do for my first match and will have it ready as soon as I can. Hint: Powered up King Kong is in for the fight of his life.

Awesome match, didnt expect the setting of a sequel for a past K.W.C and although it was a little predictable i enjoyed
the battle, and that "Twist ending" for Kiryu... Epic!, i liked the transition of the banner with the smog in Hedorah side and clean with Kiryu. it was a great reading and more while i was hearing: "Kiryu Theme" and "Intense Fighting".
Kudos for who wrote it.

Thanks. And I know it was a bit predictable, which is a major reason why I included a twist ending in the first place. Among other endings was going to have something simular to Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, with Kiyru diving into the ocean, but the ending I wrote was the one I felt worked best.

I'm surprised you didn't hear the "Godzilla theme" during the reveal, I kind of did myself while writing it actually.

Oh yeah, i didnt but when i was reading into that part i was imagine it so it was also the same.
But yeah it was a great match, if its posible more matches should have more Twists like this
and after reading this, if in the future a Godzilla game is made i want Hedorah to be in it (although i wanted him in Unleashed but you know what i mean).

This is probably my new favorite match. Having Godzilla regenerating inside Kiryu was a genius move on your part!

I'm glad everyone loved the twist ending so much! Another idea I had was for Godzilla to actually fully regenerate and finish Hedorah off as himself, but I realized it'd take to long for him to regenerate for that to work and it'd "steal" the victory from Kiryu.

Fun match. Interesting to see one author responding to the work of another. It was obvious who was gonna win, but the regeneration bit at the end took me off guard. Very cool way to end it. Great banner too, I liked the contrast between the shining Kiryu and the, er... smoggy Hedorah.

But since he represents the Oxygen Destroyer in the first match, wouldn;t he become even stronger later? Like kaiju-ized version of what is already a bloody powerful monster. [/desperate for Hedorah to take some victory from this]
