This mini forum is getting a little quiet so i wanted to throw out a poll.

The shorter matches are easier of swallow, but a lot of the time, the longer matches have awesome backgrounds or developments. Depends on my mood.

Re: Long Matches vs Short Matches
I like short...they can have decent backgrounds, but as you said, the longer ones are much more detailed and well-described.

Usually, like what Hayes said, longer matches have a lot more of the development to fit the mood of the battle.

If a KWC is 4 paragraphs, but each of them are about 7 sentences long, is that too short?

Re: Long Matches vs Short Matches
Too short. Gotta be at least 2 pages long for a one-sided match. 3 pages for a moderate match.Godzilla599 wrote:If a KWC is 4 paragraphs, but each of them are about 7 sentences long, is that too short?

Short matches are ok, but I prefer matches with more complex stories that try to surprise you.

Re: Long Matches vs Short Matches
Exactly, more explanantion is better for me. Ex. Frankenstein in the recent match. He explained how he arrived on the island or he could have said, "By chance Frankenstein arrived on Faro Island." Gotta say I do not like the latter.
"...A great love is a lot like a good memory. When it's there, and you know it's there, but it's just out of your reach, it can be all that you think about. You can focus on it, and try to force it, but the more you do, the more you seem to push it away. But if you're patient, and you hold still, then maybe... Just maybe... It will come to you."

There was more explaination to that, it was linked to his fate at the end of his movie of falling into the earth and wondering underground and coming out of the ground on Faro Island.Grayshot954 wrote:Exactly, more explanantion is better for me. In my opinion, depends on how it goes. Both are really enjoyable.

Shorter matches. I often end up skimming longer ones.
I used to be a lot more optimistic and outgoing, believe it or not. I used to actually be passionate about this stuff.

Short matches are alright every once in a while but matches with more explanations, background and development are much better in my book.

I like short matches because... they are short so I get a good amount of entertainment from one of them.
