I've seen the show, watched the movies, and read the Manga. They all have some sort of special serum used to turn people into Titan shifters. The film version has one based on experiments from Titans. The manga goes all the way back to the time of the first king in it's lore. I just thought it would be interesting to have them base the science off of Frankenstein since he is technically a giant human showing that creating a giant humanoid is possible, leading to people attempting to create something similar leading to the Titans. Maybe take the Frankenstein apsect out of it and just have it being an attempt to fight against Kaiju or have them fight along with Frankenstein.

The year is 2215.

Mankind is dying. King Ghidorah, the monster created to destroy Japan, is ravaging mankind. No one knows if it is being controlled or if it is acting of it's own free will. Humanity seems to be doomed, as nations squabble over how to survive.

However, one solution has come though. Historical records tell that long ago, a similar beast ravaged Japan. However, it was driven off by a trio of mighty monsters. A ancient flying beast awoken from the depths of the Earth by human arrogance, the insect god of a long lost people and the saurian son of the atom bomb itself joined forces to drive the beast off. With this information, a group of time travelers go back in time to collect the beasts and bring them back to save the future
