When I click the forums icon on the main site, I end up in the old boards. I assume that will be changed, right?

Correct, as mentioned on the front page we are aware of that and it was planned. We will see about changing it sometime this weekend, after hopefully more people are aware of the move and it doesn't come as a shock.
