Why can't we post introductions?

Oh I agree. If there can be such infantile topics like My Little Pony being discussed, why not a welcome a thread?

I don't see how it could hurt. If we can have topics like "Wataru's favorite movie" or "Movies you don't intend on seeing anytime soon" I don't see why we can't have an introduction thread.

There is one thing about Toho Kingdom that is unlike any forum I've ever seen: were not allowed to make introduction threads. How is this considered "spam"? What's wrong with letting people just say "hi" and make their new presence known? Why was the introduction thread (inconvieniently) locked?

I just don't understand.

The other one got locked because people started spamming.

As I said before I think an introduction thread for everyone wouldn't hurt as long it's something short about themselves maybe say what toho things they like. Just my opinion though.

Is it REALLY that important to introduce yourself on a forum?

This topic ranks almost as pointless as any other. It's the rule, that's why we can't. Is it a stupid rule? Sure, but who cares? Let this topic fall into the realm of moderately semi-amusing spam.

It doesn't annoy me at all. I'm sure an introduction thread has the potential to become just as stupid as anything else. But there HAVE been far dumber threads made over the years.

What is the point of just making a topic so people can say " Hello, I am a G-fan too!", when they can just introduce themselves in a topic and then get to discussing whatever the topic's about right afterwards. It would be almost as stupid as having a topic just for saying good morning or good night.
