Now maybe you just meant where movies are concerned, but it sounds like a general statement to me. Still I'll give you a chance to defend that, I believe we can keep this civil.
Now admittedly, we've all seen a movie that looked bad, and thought to ourselves "Who would pay for that shit?" but c'mon man. "Disgusting creatures, who like disgusting things"? I'm no fan of the Stooges movie, and a bunch of other movies I could list. Still don't you think, that's a tad strong?
I did mean just where movies are concerned, however, I am also enlightened by my own personal philosophical sense in terms of my sense of self awareness, and my inherent "hyper intuition" dictated by my personality type. However, those latter two are my business, not yours, although the latter most is relevant to something else you mentioned, but I'll get to that.
The "disgusting" remark was meant to be interpreted on a grand scale and given the evidence provided by history, is true. It correlated to the idea that they would, by nature, have a crass sense for entertainment too. And I hold yself to higher standards then that. It was ALSO a link to the people detractors of Cabin in the Woods, of whom the film was criticizing. The people who dislike the film were the fools who expected it to be generic horror trash that played by the rules and delivered on their primal desires. The film, however, makes fun of their primal desires.
Okay fair enough, I was a bit presumptuous to assume you had a high opinion of yourself. Also I agree, there is nothing to debate on the subject of homosexuality, so I'll concede that point too. Still Svtiska, I'mma level with you. I mean this nicely. You aren't stupid, far from it in fact, but this is why you get thrown around as a punching bag so much.
You're unpleasant, or rather, you come across as unpleasant.
Honestly, reading some of your posts in debates, they come across as long winded and beat the same points as the previous ones with new material. Sometimes, I'm so impressed by your ability to repeat yourself, I'm amazed you aren't running for office.
Still you have a tendency to come across as a pretentious asshole (And I'm not meaning to imply you are) and the fact you kinda keep arguments going long after they should have died (Well maybe this was just with Aktion, I mean KOM sucked donkey balls, I get that, but really? Admittedly I haven't seen you do this to anyone else) I mean if you were just a little less wordy, a little less condescending, a little less aggressive in your critiques of the opinions of others, you'd probably be a REALLY cool guy.
Now that, that is out the way, you claim to stay for good posters but I'm not entirely sure who you mean. I'll assume, it varies from day to day as it does with us all. So if you wanna stay here and chat about Godzilla, fine. Personally, I like having you around, at the very least it livens up the place.
That "new material" is usually evidence to hold up my points, which is one of the fundamentals of debating. However, people like "He who must not be mentioned" completely ignore it and post something irrelevant and actually do beat the same point over and over again without ANYTHING to back it up. It's just fluff and it irritates me. Then they get pissed at ME for calling their opinions worthless, when they really are. Then they feel that because they have an opinion, that means it should be treated with respect...but that's not how reality works. nor is it how ethics work, at times. My whole bout of "pretentiousness" has really been on the rise ONLY because of that argument with "He who must not be mentioned", because I'M the one on the defensive. I said it pages ago, I'm now a scapegoat. People, including site staff, flaming me for no real reason, and even banning me from this thread simply because it was convenient and for no real rule breaking at all. And it's all because of an argument that other posters have the sheer skreeonk AUDACITY to claim they understand, but they really don't. No, I do not hate him because of a comic book. This ties back into my hyper intuition, due to his actions people fail to pick up and his actions towards me
behind closed doors, I have determined he is the kind of person I mesh with the WORST. That is why I dislike him so much. It's him as a person. If you think I'm so smart, maybe you should realize that maybe there are actual
reasons I hate him, rather than assuming its cause he has a different opinion than me, and mean old Svitska hates anyone with a dissenting opinion. I act unpleasant, because, well, why should I anymore? People here refuse to understand anything beyond their own perspectives. Look at G2K's post above yours. It's a PRIME example. Ever since the argument, I've been deemed a villain, so that's all people see. How about you look at my post record BEFORE the comic argument. I'm sure you will find me that "cool guy". Now, I'm just whatever TK says I am.
