Thank you to anybody who feels the way I do; for a moment I thought I was crazy.

I especially want to thank Primeval. I know that you and I have had disagreements in the past but that doesn't really matter. What matters is that I didn't ever have to call you an "f'ing re**rd about you're views and you didn't either. We can disagree civilly and continue about our lives. I respect that imminently and wish others could follow suit.

Thanks again but I think we may be in the minority, y'know, of people who actually care about the fandom, not just our own collections and how "awesome" it will be ten years from now.

Well put, Cap'n. There's simply way too much negativity, cynicism and intolerance in this fandom. Don't get me wrong, I can be a serious asshole at times, but it's well documented that I'm usually only an asshole when someone else is being an asshole first - particularly the foolish opinion-nazis who populate this forum.

For the record, I definitely don't think of vinyls as "second class citizens" (lol), and I'm perfectly aware of the fact that SH may not have legs (how could I not be aware of this after the likes of G2K and Legion yammering on about it for months and months?). At the end of the day, to each his own, collect and like whatever the skreeonk you want. There, dropping the subject now, I promise.

Cap just do yourself a favor and drop it. While I do appreciate what you're doing... it's kind of pointless. You see, I did something similar yesterday and struck quite a nerve apparently. In the process, however, I actually learned something that's kind of disturbing: some people are entirely incapable of being taught a lesson. Meaning that they actually do not understand it. I took that same "almighty, incontrovertible truth" that certain members have been pointing at hopeful fans since day one, and turned it on them. However, while the usual hostile shenanigans ensued... everyone entirely missed the point. Are they so egocentric that they really can't see how immature it is to attack people over their choices/opinions as collectors? Even perfectly reasonable people are turned into hostile idiots over this subject. Yet even the attacked are treated the same despite defending themselves or others.

Which i should have predicted. From now on, just roll your eyes. SHM is threatening to some people (for some reason), and they have a tendancy to lash out. Its actually pretty skreeonk pathetic. I don't remember trying to (snicker) rally the troops when the gorgeous Gigabrain Ghidorah was announced. I don't grit my teeth and rage every time Hazawa Gumi releases a new SD Godzilla. I certainly don't act like they're people.

Ya know what? skreeonk em. They are the minority (around here at least. I know there're uncounted legions ) and the squeaky wheel always gets the grease. Do you think a single one of those people actually went "Wow... that's how I'm acting?"

Besides the mods will start squashing your posts and acting like they're inappropriate for the Whine thread. Which they aren't because they're about people not toys. Though I know people actually seem to not be able to differentiate between the two.

Again, despite a few isolated incidents, I honestly don't feel that much negativity on this board. Its the internet, people are bound to be cynical and argumentative its just the way it works. Compared to alot of other forums and boards I've been a part of TK is rather civil.

Regardless of how CA feels about me and this whole MA thing, I think it's ridiculous of him to go running into the Gigabrain thread and start attacking the Ghidora figure in this clever "Look I can do it too!!" kind of way. It certainly doesn't help his side of the argument to get pissed off and run around the internet screaming and whining about this to everyone who will listen, and then derailing threads that have nothing to do with what was happening yesterday.

Outside of this thread, there really isn't all that much serious conflict as far as I've seen. A lot of members being slightly dickish or a little bit irritating, sure, but nothing all that major most of the time.

What was ebirahsmeg doing in that thread (other than showing some cool photos?) that justified you coming in and starting all that crap? He didn't deserve that. I wouldn't be surprised if it was him who reported both of your posts, because that thread was going fine until you came in like a bat out of hell and tried to derail it with nonsense. I'm glad he had the good sense to move on and ignore you.

And very mature is going into another FB group I was a part of and whining to the admins there until they kicked me off (and I'm assuming Tim as well). Your "eye for an eye" mentality is really appalling. I hope you feel justice was served.

I think we need a praise thread or something, 'cause I totally want to praise Akiton for being so level-headed most of the time considering how often he's actually in debates. Among other people, but that's the one on my mind right nyah. This site could use a little more balance.

There doesn't need to be a praise thread. I can't count how many times I've seen people heap praise on somebody who's posted about some minor accomplishment they achieved that day. It's just as annoying as people sniping at each other for no reason.

Because it wasn't a sincere complaint. It's just you being angry and pissed and playing games in order to prove something. And doing it in a civil thread, coming across like a ranting lunatic. At least when I'm negative about something I actually mean it. I'm not doing it in order to go "Nyah nyah look how mean I can be!!!"

Cap, if you had merely posted a sincere albeit negative opinion, that would be one thing, and I'd defend your right to express that opinion. But you were saying those things just to get a rise out of people, and your posts clearly indicated that by the following remarks.

P.S. Actually, that is how I feel about the GB Ghidorah. It ain't the best thing I've ever seen. *gasp* And I can get how you might think that about my post, Jim, but had I not typed those two lines, I'd be accused of thinking/doing it for those reasons anyways. I figured I'd just be open about how I thought the responses would go down.

This feels like that Simpsons episode "Homer's Enemy" where, by just being himself, Homer pushes Frank Grimes too far, Grimes goes insane and starts trying to act like Homer. "I'm returning to work without washing my hands, but that's ok, because I'm Homer Simpson! Give me a raise!". And in the end he dies.

Aktion, you know, yesterday I felt Legion stepped over the line. I said so in his Facebook group, and I told him privately as well. But you're certainly doing your part to foster hostility here, too. For everyone's sanity, can the parties involved in this little fight just step away from the keyboard and let this feud die? It's wasting a lot of skreeonk time and giving me a headache.

You don't see just a little hypocrisy here? The only reason people got worked up was because Cap was bad mouthing their toys. Granted Cap gave them a free pass by admitting later that he was just doing it to harass them... but I seem to recall the time IR dared yo express a negative opinion about stylized figures and he received the same sort of reception.

I personally happen to find Bullmark figures to be ugly as sin. They're rainbow colored chunks of plastic that barely resemble the monsters they're supposedly base on. And you know what? I don't give a solid shit if they didn't have the tech back then, don't care if we owe the current lines' existence to them, don't give a damnable if the hideous Colorado were a ploy to catch childrens' eyes. They're hideous. With a few very rare exceptions (Gezora. Hes just so cute).

Do I feel the need to express that opinion all over the threads when someone posts a pic of a Bullmark figure they just scored?
