I was thinking about this the other night. With the absence(s) of Vega and Arbok becoming more and more frequent, board-wise, it might be better to appoint another mod and allow one of the current staff to become an admin.

A mod could sticky this if they so wished, to avoid any further conversation in other threads in this sub-section from turning into "I think <name> should be a mod!". And as we all know, TK members like to voice their desire who to become staff.

Is this a huge problem? Only when some bot or fake or idiot gets on and posts porn, or links or whatever and it takes awhile for that person / bot to get banned. Also, I dont think mods can ban, so the temp. ban power should be more readily available.

This thread isnt to flame/flame bait or vent at mod/admin/other member shennanigans. Just post who YOU think would be a good admin, and a good mod. DO NOT "discuss" other people's choices unless it's a simple "I agree - <why>". None of this "Not <name>! He hates me!"

Do not discuss 'firing' any mod/admin/site staff member.

You cannot nominate yourself. ..not that nominations mean shit.

Admin:
Stuckey - IMHO has proven himself to be the only 100% honest staff member (outside of JTG, 3000, Arbok and HGF). Very fair, quick to watch the board and the arguements, knowledgeable.

Mod:
gvamp - IMHO one of the most intelligent and easy to get along members of the board with a vast knowledge of television, movies and video games.

Chris55 - he's site staff, but give him a mod-ship.

Mini-Godzilla - we might not always get along, but he can easily hold his own in heated intelligent conversation.

Living Corpse - same as above with Mini-Godzilla

Legion1979 - we might not agree on everything and some people find him rough/abrasive, but he knows his vinyls and other toys, he knows his films and can hold his own in a row.

Other:
I'd say offer kpa, AVERY, The One and Only and James Ballard (if he's still around) a site staff title or custom since they contribute SO much to the forum in way of news and article links.

Best for Admin? Either Stuckey or Arrow since they're on everyday and know the ups, downs, ins, outs, lefts, and rights of these forums. I haven't seen SSJ4G or TitanoGoji active enough to really nominate them.

As for best Mods: (not in any real order)

1. KPA: Since, you know, he's an official Toho source with a big know-how on what goes on in the company. Plus he's also one of the smartest folks on the site.

2. Hedorah: He doesn't discriminate, he doesn't over react, and he follows the rules to the letter (most of the time, but everyone screws up every now and then); as long as he enforces the written rules I don't see why not.

3. bananaoil: The guy is actually quite reasonable, as long as he doesn't insult people for their tastes I say let him.

4.Malkich (I can't remember how to spell his name): Much like bananaoil.

5. PrimevalGodzilla: He's very similar to Hedorah, so I think he'd be a good candidate.

6. HellSpawn: Very knowledgable on stuff sometimes, can keep things civil, and has interesting conversations at times; I think he'd do a good job as long as he enforces the written rules.

7. Dr. Kaiju: Very similar to HellSpawn, again, why not?

8/9. O Supreme/Yaburu: Both of them are highly respected and always gives some good wisdom to share with the rest of us, they're probably more qualified than most people here due to having more experience in life. They also don't discriminate so....

10. Myself: I know the rules and I'll be willing to dish out the punishment where it is deserved and to all of those responsible.

An honorable mention goes to NSZ since based on what I've seen he's quite civil usually.

For an Admin, Stuckey all the way. The guy has proven himself time and time again to be probably the most level-headed person on the forum.

As a mod, give it back to gvamp. Not only is he a reliable person but he can be pretty calm when in discussion.
LC & Hedorah could do alright, but truth be told they haven't been here all that long(But then again, neither has Stuckey), and LC's rant on the old boards might hurt him.

As for anybody else that I can't think of, I say it should be someone who can give a fairly good argument, discuss things without getting mad, and has shown himself to follow the rules.

To be fair Vega and Arbok are probably on more then we think, I've seen them lurk around reading topics without posting so just because you don't see them posting doesn't mean big brother isn't here.

Anyways, we've had a battles in the past but that's done and over with and after getting to know him I can see that GVamp is an OK guy. Give him his modship back, he did his job just fine. That is if he wants to mod again.

It's because they held Mod/Admin status at the old board that they probably won't be getting it back. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it's been stated (or at least insinuated) that anyone who held Mod status on the old board, with the obvious exception of SS4G, would not be getting it on this board.

Now, with that being said, I would support a Mod being evolved into an Admin (see how I worked a Pokemon joke in there? And I can't frickin' stand Pokemon).

But another member becoming a Mod? Don't think it's really needed. Titano just became a Mod a month or two back, I doubt the powers-that-be will be looking to add another any time soon.

Ugh. This is like the 5th topic saying 'Let's make Gvamp or LGM a mod because Arbok and Vega aren't on a lot' Arbok and Vega are on quite often actually, they just don't POST a lot. Not to mention the majority of their TK-related time is probably spent testing shit out and keeping the main site updated daily, rather than posting their opinions in topics that are mostly arguments.

To be frank, these kinds of topics are worth nothing because you can't really debate. It's too easy to call someone out and seem like you're just singling out someone you don't like, but if nobody opposes anyone, how would we know who to actually choose? It's too easy to play favorites here, and I'm sure at least one person here is nominating someone they like more out of agreement than out of genuinely thinking they'd be good staff.

Gvamp I wouldn't have issues with - he's level-headed and doesn't seem to hold grudges or make issues. LC and Hedorah would be among my other top choices among those suggested - both are level-headed and calm members.

Bananaoil was a mod at old TK long, long ago IIRC but left due to rl stuff. I think he seems like a great type to be another mod, but I'm not sure if he'd be up to it himself/be allowed back on since I know he's been in and out of the reigns.

Mini-Godzilla's another good suggestion, but I think too many other members have issues with him.

As for Stuckey becoming admin, I wouldn't argue with it, he seems like a swell guy, but I can't say I know him the best either.

There's nobody I can toss on the table who isn't already there.
