I know the ability to double post has been driving people a bit crazy, so I have introduced a new method to the boards called post merging.
Basically if you were the last one to make a post in a thread and attempt to do so again by default the post will be merged with the earlier one. Green text will appear to notify the difference in time between the original and the addition. For example, if done 5 minutes later it will state this. Below is an example.
Right now there is still an option to check to make it be a separate post rather than merged with the latter, which should cater some of the fan fiction stuff which might hit character limits on posts.

Thank you, so much!
Will this also effect double posting in the Fan Art and Fan Fiction subforums as well?

Yes, but as mentioned there is an "opt out" option when making follow up post that allow people to make double posts. It's stated as the following and only appears when the previous post was by the same author:SpaceG92 wrote:Thank you, so much!

Thank you so much, Anthony. I'd prefer people to actually learn how to use the edit button, but is just as good.
I will explain slowly why you are wrong.

Thank you so much. Don't have to worry about millions of double posts now.

Just a question, does a merged post show up as new and unread? That'd be good for production crew type threads where I post a lot.

Yes, it does. I did it in the Neca Figures Thread and it popped up the thread and the post as unread.TheSecondComing wrote:Just a question, does a merged post show up as new and unread? That'd be good for production crew type threads where I post a lot.
