All it does is collect info so if say someone looked up "Godzilla fan site" on Bing then TK would be one of the results.

This is correct. The bots (also known as spiders) search the forums for topics and posts. These then are turned into search results. Because forums are updated all the time, for example someone makes a new post in a topic, this means the search engine "spiders" have to constantly check and then update their search results to make sure the latest is being factored into searches.

So yes, the Bing Bot and other search engine ones are good for the site and the forums as they bring more people here.

I don't mind the bots. They create better topics than most of the posters.
