Well, long story short, I had a project in my art class recently, which involved drawing 20 things of your choice in a sketch book. Me being me, many of mine were kaiju. Yes, even the pretty "butterfly". Anyway, I decided to post some of my kaiju drawings onTK. Most of these aren't my best work, as I was rushed, so their isn't a whole lot of shading going on. Hell, I'm not an expert artist anyway. Anyway, I'll post two for today.

Oh, and if anyone feels like posting any of their drawing in here as well, it's fine by me. There's a reason I didn't call this topic Kaiju-King42's Kaiju Sketches after all.

Those are pretty kick-ass, not gonna lie. Legion looks the best.

I'm a beginning drawer myself, and I must say, those are really good, Kaiju-King.

Pretty good! I'm especially liking Mothra and Gamera. Lots of neat detail and texture.

Those are great! Way better than what I could ever draw.

I got bored and did a quick 3 minute drawing.
Note the halfed assed detail, and Dragon Zord's Shoulder at the top.

I'm horrible at shading (It was also horribly rushed)

^^ Hey, for a drawing that only took 3 minutes, that's pretty good!

^ I actually really like that one. You don't have to put yourself down on your shading skills. Besides, shading can take forever, and I gotta be honest, a lot of the time I don't even bother doing it.

Speaking of my unshaded kaiju, Monster Island has just called in:



Anguirus, Gorosaurus, Baragon, Varan, Titanosaurus, and Rodan. If I had more time, I would have personally added more detail, as well as added some more monsters. That big space in front of Goro was going to hold Zilla and Kameobas, Zedus would have been in behind Titano in the background, the space in between Bar's back and Goro's arms would have held one of the small canon fodder kaiju (possibly Ganimes or the Giant Sea Serpent) and Kamacuras was going to be flying in the background with Rodan. Maybe when I get my sketch book back, I'll add on the updates.

Trust me, drawing Anguirus's back is nothing compared to trying to draw the scales on King Ghidorah. Geez, I must have been there for hours, drawing scale after scale.

Ooh, that Monster island scene looks cool. Love that Anguirus and Titano's head.

Sorry this took a while. Photo up loaders across the internet seemed to be on a strike against me the last few days. Anyway, on to the main event.

As you can see, there is a big space in front of King Ghidorah. That space was supposed to have held Godzila and Anguirus, with Rodan in the background. However, pressed for time, I could only manage King Ghidorah and a half assed background. All those scales take forever!

THAT is awesome.

Pretty cool shot, I think. Ghidorah just going to town on Planet X.

This is one flower you don't want to anger. Introducing:







Biollante Rose form. A small rose form. Not the eighty meter tall rose form. A normal sized rose. Unless the JSDF funded a giant plant pot.

Anyway, very nice sketch.

That's a cool idea, Biollante growing all the way from a normal-sized rose to the behemoth that faces Godzilla.
