So...Did the British put some stuff into the film to make it X?

nope, they were just trying to promote horror films more for the adult crowd, so they rated it X for adults only.

The British "X" is actually equivalent to the MPAA's "R".

That Godzilla reminds of Papa dinosaur, from the '90s TV series.
Every film should have at least one animal attack.

Here's some new artwork from the guy who did those awful "Godzilla Soshingecki" images:

This is actually pretty good, I think. It certainly stays true to the traditional design, at least.

Even though it's nothing special considering the time period, LOL at the random Caucasian civilians in the foreground. Rodan certainly looks derpier than ever...

This is my absolute favourite drawing of Godzilla and a near perfect design (in my opinion). Following his spines down the tail, I can't help admire the detail put into the spacing and placement of the jagged spiky spines.
I could go on and on about this design but what I would want to be taken from this design most for the LPG would be from the shoulders up. His thick neck, large head and square jaw are all powerful in appearance, cementing the King of The Monsters look.

The dead animals in KOM are a result of high powered signals sent from aliens,to awaken the dormant monsters. Animals with similar senses are overloaded from the signal &drop dead. That way much of the world will be destroyed in prep for the invasion.

Love this Rodan design. It looks like a less-comedic sixties Rodan. Probably give him some legs that are just a big beefier, but other then that I'm really fond of this.

What's to say? Matt Frank is a great kaiju artist.

It's a little too extreme in design for me. However, I am very fond of the concept art from GFW for Rodan.

If I had money to spare, I'd get pay for an artist to do a more extensive study of that GvsMGII Rodan concept art (with beefier legs, of course).

http://www.tohokingdom.com/concept_art/ ... othra2.htm

I'm also rather fond of that as a standard Mothra larva.
