Eh, I take some of these as what they are- fan art. They work in that context, but I'd never want to see them brought to life.

I think a lot of fans miss the context part.

Agreed. I feel the same way about fan art. I enjoy it, but most of them I'd rather not see in a film.

Things like GNEO change Godzilla, but they stick to a basic series of concepts about him, for instance godzilla is a dinosaur type of creature. That looks more like a mutated cricket than godzilla.

Like I keep saying about dozens of Godzilla "redos." They're awesome looking monster, but just not Godzilla. THAT is a great example of what I mean, in my opinion at least.

Too lizard-like, almost. Where are the dorsal fins and why does he look like a komodo dragon?

The dorsal fins are there. Look closer

yeah, i agree with you. If I redo the drawing, I will definately go with bigger plates, and something a bit more traditional looking.

I agree. It's closer than GINO was.

gotta agree with Tyler. It looks like an upright Rhedosaurus. That's not to say you're a bad artist. I just don't think that works as Godzilla.

It looks more like redo of Gorosaurus or possibly a redo of Godzillasaurus.

Nope. Not my cup-o-tea. It doesn't have the... "x" factor. It doesn't seem to radiate power.

Far too cartoony a take on Godzilla, IMO.

That Godzilla's spines are too small and it's a bit too lizard-like.

But I love your Anguirus. I like that his spines point back. It makes him look sleeker and faster.

Um... the PICTURE?

Dude, it's an upright komodo dragon. Looks like it belongs in a CN special. It ain't bad, but it's not Godzilla-ish, Like I say about 90% of redesigns, it's a cool monster, but Godzilla, it is not.

The Anguirus feels a lot more authentic. Still has a more cartoonish feel than the original, but it's closer to the source with just enough flare to identify it as a reinvisioning.
