Most fan films I can't even watch all the way through. But I was able to with GXKK, and the only reason I enjoy it is because of the effort put into it. That's how it is with me and fan films, I watch them for the ideas and effort put behind them.

I also think the acting was better than most fan films out there.

This is pretty much the exact opposite of my experience watching this. I couldn't sit through the whole thing, precisely because the acting was, well, bad. It's like they were trying to be so cool, they just ended up being lame.

I just skipped to the monster action. Which is mediocre at best.

I'm not saying it was good acting, but it was well enough that I could sit through it. Most acting in fan films makes me cringe.

Well, Huntie is having a contest for his Kaiju Killer Prequel. He wants fans to send in their created kaiju and the one that he likes the best, will end up fighting Stalkus in his prequel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJeqXJkF ... ture=feedu

I think he's referring to the lack of professionalism and the haphazard nature of Huntie's vlog.

I watched some other shorts he has on Blip.tv and I could hardly believe it. He's gotten WORSE as a filmmaker since making Kaiju Killer, believe it or not. XD

I could never tolerate Huntie's behavior. I can't believe you can get worse at what he does.

Just kinda rambly is all. What I do when I do these things are write everything down and get everything straight before I record. Get in, straight to the point, and then done.

I personally enjoyed this as a fan film. I'll admit I had been a fan of Hunties works dating back to the old "Tokyo Monsters" days (esp the Godzilla: Outtakes). The film itself has alot of interesting qualities but also has a few things i thought could've been better.

1st off, its obvious everyone immediately criticizes "I don't understand the story" "What's it talking about." When I saw Mugen from Terror of MechaGodzilla, it made me think ok this is a sequel following that. And the fact that Huntie did the characters US dub voice very well, that should've been a giveaway.

So I was able to follow that, but then when it got to earth, things were left alil unexplained (with the whole human absence) until the end of the film. Now that, i wasn't entirely in agreement with, but it was a gutsy move on Huntie's part because its a different way of telling the story. If you can understand the concept of alternate universes like in DC's Infinite Crises or Michael Crichton's "Timeline", the same rule applies to what Huntie tells about Planet Daikaiju = Earth. At least thats how I interpretted it.

Another thing I don't think Huntie gets enough credit for are the suits. Like I said before, his G-suit inspired me to make mine back in 09'. Also the fact that he was able to surprise us with unnexpected appearances with Hedorah, Gabara, and Biollante I felt was a nice treat. That Biollante prop was spot on. The Kaiju Killer was definitely a unique design, not the best, but unique all in all.

The fact that Huntie re recorded original versions of Ifubuke's scores to his project was not only a great idea but very creative on his part. He pretty much darkened the scores we were used to and made them sinister sounding.

The monster fights were cool, but when the cuts of the action figure props were spliced in and out, it kinda lost me. The hand puppet prop scenes worked better, but the headbutt scene again lost me for a bit. I will agree that Disturbed probably wasn't the best music choice here. I have nothing against metal playing along with kaiju battles, it just would've been better if he had some more original metal music playing at that point.

I saw quite a few acting comments here, and I'll say that I thought the acting, while alil too forced at times, still comes off as believeable. I have a college degree in Acting, and while I may not be the best actor or a great judge on it, I still know, and have studied, what it takes to be a believeable one. Huntie and his characters actions and voice overs definitely deliver throughout this film and I enjoyed it.

The background lighting and tone of the film I felt was alil overdone with the hues. The sfx weren't the best but good enough for what he had to work with.

All in all, I know it wasn't the best fan film I've seen, but I still enjoyed it for what it was and give mad props to Huntie and all you helped him for his valiant effort to bring something new to the table with Godzilla.

However . . .
I remember several days after he released the video, Huntie then released a "shoot video" on those who were criticizing him and on Matt Frank. When I saw the video I was really taken aback because I never thought he would react that badly to some constructive criticism. I have ppl who make criticisms, bad comments, and even #*$) talk my costumes, videos and what not all the time. ("your head sucks") ("your necks too long") ("he's got a v*#&#") and ("you wasted your $$ you f#$&@^") Sure I'll feel bad, and maybe sometimes I need to figureatively put my fist through a wall after hearing hurtful things about my hard work, but I don't post shoot videos calling ppl out on "their opinions." I've grown to learn, "you can't impress everyone" and "nobody is perfect," and of course the old truism for the haters "laugh with them and they can't laugh at you." When ppl criticize my efforts (good or bad) I take what advice I can from it and try to do better the next time. Or if I disagree with it, I go my own way. And thats really all any of us can do with our art.

And while I disagree with how he acted, I still think Godzilla vs Kaiju Killer was a great effort imo.

From what I've read here, Huntie seems annoyig. Not Franz from GZH level of intolerable, but nonetheless frustrating and annoying. Still, of the videos I've seen on his YouTube channel, he seems OK.

Say what you want about Godzilla x The Kaiju Killer, at least it actually got made. I found the film to be simple, stupid fun. It has its fair share of bad dialogue and plot holes, but I'm still entertained by it. Despite the bad music choices, the fight scenes are fun and I never cease to be impressed by the kaiju suits. I think that Huntie had a good idea with his whole alien battle plot, but it was explained poorly. What he did with Ikibrod was kinda cool to watch.

I can't think of many fan films that are on this level of quality; the only ones that come to mind are the G-Fest shorts and Ultraman Sorta.
This is my signature. I worked very hard on it. I hope you enjoyed it.

In my experience, Huntie's a douche and a half. :|

Why, thank you. We've topped Ultraman Sorta this year, actually. Wasn't too hard to do... XD Check it out if you haven't already: http://vimeo.com/22833579

Hey, I saw that at G-Fest this year! The crowd loved it. I thought it was really clever. Loved how you parody the extravagant descriptions used in trailers for 50's monster flicks. :)

For a fan film it was good, as opposed to toy monsters fighting, didn't like the suits though, retirement makes for a fat Godzilla -_-

Yeah, it's annoying.
And the 'evil laugh' at the end? Sounds like the noise a gorrila makes to say "I'm ok, you're ok, chillax, dude."
I'm no film maker, but that trailer roally SUCKED!
