So why bring it up? It's like this:

Person #1: "I have a job where I make very good money!"

Person #2: "Oh? Congrats! What do you do?"

Person #1: "None of your business!"

Still, that sort of secrecy is a little strange. Most artisans I am acquainted with may be secretive about their projects, but not the actual trades they engage in. In fact, they're typically pretty open and extroverted about them. I'm not saying they're wrong for being secretive, it's just understandable that Chris55 would find that behavior a little strange.

Glad to see genuine critique from fellow students of film and filmmakers is regarded by professional artists as nothing more then "popularity contest clicky BS".

Artists truly prosper when they disregard criticism and make their own work in a bubble, after all.

Yeah, honestly... hearing about his new project, I was kind of interested in giving it a watch... but this whole attitude of hers is kinda turning me off of it.

If you can't take a bit of criticism, stay off the internet.

If you're interested, no harm in giving it a try.

I don't feel like giving her/huntie the pleasure. I hate "artists" that act like they made gold.

It's GREAT that you love what you have created... but when someone else doesn't, don't cry about it.

Exactly, I was asked a question, and I replied to it. The real problem here is Chris made a mistake with his behavior in the past, and now must be reminded of it no matter what he does.

Come now. You just dismissed our entire previous discussion much earlier in this thread about your husbands negative attitude towards criticism as nothing but "high school clicky BS popularity contest". Sure does seem like you're just still dismissing any criticism that's laid against your work to me, but you're welcome to clarify what you meant.

Dismissing criticism in real life where it counts, ofcousre not. Dismiss abunch of self important film students on the internet that like to point there fingers in the air and hit you in the head repeatedly? Kinda do like to dismiss that, sorry.

Who's been doing that? I see honest criticism but nothing overly harsh and I've seen the work of those giving the most detailed feedback and I must say that they do know what they're talking about.

And I think Chris has his own style and knows what he's doing and talking about , but in the end, it's my opinion .

I think it's pretty interesting that you consider me a student of film because I'm going to school for and study it in a classroom. Why aren't you and your husband studying film independently? Obviously you are, this is your craft after all, why aren't YOU a film student? Aren't you practicing and learning more everyday? What makes YOU the filmmaker and ME the student you can snub your nose at? I've made seven or eight short films this year, why aren't I also a filmmaker on your level that can provide feedback from one artisan to another?

Ok guess I touched a nerve, no one is snubbing anyone here. Show me your work I'll give my honest opinion on it, just as you are doing.

You haven't touched any nerve, I'm asking you a legitimate question on your philosophy as to what differentiates me and you. If we're both studying film (regardless of whether it's from a classroom or books signed out from a library) with the intention to get better, then why am I the only one who is a student of the craft?

And I have nothing uploaded online, all of my work is sitting in hard drives at the moment.

Well if your gonna brag, at least try to back it up. All this talk and attitude about filmmaker/student is kinda silly imo.

also about growing as an artist, look at his newest stuff, like the spfx, have they not improved? Chris once told me that he agreed with the criticism that kaiju killer took itself a little to seriously. So he's making it a point to put more black humor in BHC. So, is that not "growing"? Is he not taking criticism? So enough of this bubble talk.

In regards to the puppets or the stock footage from Video-Copilot's Action Essentials 2?

Indeed. That's the price you pay for poor behavior, madam.

Assuming I'm another one the easily-dismissable, self-important film students you were referring to and since TokyoVigilante can't offer any of his own work right now, I'll take you up on this.

Yep, how about forgive and forget, or just getting over it, sir?

I'm not a fan of the puppets but I did like the puppeteer work. Everything else was alright. Nothing extraordinary technically.
