Like the Kaiju Killer's Kaiju form was epic, but when he was released and looked like a worm...no...

And the puppet used for some his head motions...looked...just...eww...

Great? Honestly, he seems to have regressed as a filmmaker. Part 2 has its moments (the puppet is pretty decently executed most of the time) but part 1 is hilariously painful to sit through.

Seriously, your dislike for my husband is bordering on obsessive. Get over the butthurt already, his regreted tirade he made to Mattfrank on youtube was over 3 YEARS AGO.

Yeah, well, despite my overall distaste for Kaiju Killer, I could easily give a laundry list of items that I thought were fairly well-executed and there was plenty of potential for growth. I'd hoped to go into the Black Hole Chronicles to see an improvement but, despite a couple highlights, the result seemed worse, sorry.

No, it frustrates me because your husband is one of the best amateur kaiju filmmakers this fandom has right now but I think he could be a lot better very easily.

That's a pretty impressive puppet, I'll admit.

I know, maybe one day another fan could make or match Chris's amazing no budget creature making! He's a tough act to follow that's for sure.

First one bored me. I couldn't even tell what was happening 1/2 the time. But I liked watching the making of videos.

Didn't even bother with the prequel so far.

Despite what quite a few people have stated. I found Kaiju Killer to be quite enjoyable. I do a few animation shorts myself, but nothing near the level of hardwork put into that film. I understood the story quite well, but only after my third time watching it (I missed a few thing on the first time around). The remixed Ifukube cues were awesome and gave it a more sinister feel. The suits were really well done. Godzilla looks really ferocious, and his face seems more like that of a wolf, rather than the usual cat-like features we are used to, but still awesome.

Black Hole Chronicles is a bit different, yes, but I still find it enjoyable. He also has the best Mugal voice I ever heard. I hope that he continues on with his work.

I thought it was ok (Best Fan made film i have seen about Godzilla but thats not saying much sunce there isnt a lot)
The poster made for it its just badass. The Biollante scene was a little creepy and the battle scenes were ok.
Unstoppable Fury , Unthinkable Power , Unbreakable Will.

My husband likes to dabble, he is a true artist, not wanting to be tied down to any one medium. That being said, the both of us are already make a living off our art, but we keep those details away from the internet fandom. Because as you can see in this very thread, we want to avoid the highschool like popularity contest clicky BS that tends to happen. My husband doesint like to brag because frankly, he doesn't need to.

Ok so these are just for fun then. Yeah, that's cool.

I don't see any "popularity contest" stuff in this thread though. I see critiques of his work and to be honest, a lot of it to me seems to be beginner level as far as shot composition, pacing etc. But what I do find to be quite obvious, and this shines through, is that he has a genuine love of making these films which should be commended. I did like the puppetry (not the puppet themselves) skills. The movements were pretty well done I thought.

I think taking a class or reading Bruce Block's "The Visual Story" will do wonders for his filmmaking skills. It'll be a night and day difference.
