NINGEN: FROZEN INFERNO
A feature length script by Camaron V. Gowesky
In a world where colder regions are threatened by mysterious and indestructible giant monsters called "ningen," only warm areas like Tampa, Florida are safe. But when an unusual cold front sweeps across the state, the city of Tampa is plunged into a freezing Hell.

----------

Ningen: Frozen Inferno is my original script I wrote for my screenwriting II class. I got a lot of great feedback from my class and they helped me develop it. I'm glad to share it and get feedback from the forum here. In your feedback, I hope to hear what you like, what you don't like, and what you don't understand. I'm open to new ideas too. My class said my pacing is really good and the script was a breeze to get through. It should take 90 to 100 minutes (a feature length film). I hope you enjoy!

The creatures in my script on based on the "real life" cryptids known as ningen (literally meaning "human" in Japanese). They are large, white, humanoid creatures supposedly spotted in Antarctica.

The story also has allusions to Dante's Inferno. Let me know if you can spot all the connections. I want them to be clear to anyone familiar with the The Divine Comedy.

Also, I must admit that one sequence in the script is inspired by a curtain sequence in Shin Godzilla. Let me know if it barrows TOO MUCH from that scene.

I see that scripts are discouraged, but this is actually in a proper movie script format approved by a university professor. As I stated, it was for a screenwriting class. Is there another section of the forum this belongs? If it's really against the forum rules, I'll remove it.
