I'm all for re imaginings, especially for a movie that could of done better. It actually feels like a Heisei story, like something in Godzilla vs Biollante's level. And finally Miki actually dose something with those powers lol. I mean she's not Jean Grey but you know what I mean, I hope. I've always liked Miki but I wish she blossomed more.

Anyway I'm rambling, nice job, can't wait for more.

Thanks for commenting. Just posted a new chapter, although I don't know if I did it right. It just added to the first post, but didn't bump the thread up any. Hmm...

The point of the story is to try to retell it using some undeveloped ideas from the film, but also changing something to help close the holes and address the complaints that many fans had about the story, including everybody's favorite: "Why is Miki even in the film anyway?"

I'm digging this. It's feels more rounded while still retaining the Heisei feel and the general plot.

It also reminded me how much I want more novelizations of kaiju films.

Thank you very much! I hope to address some of the complaints that people make about this movie and turn it into something interesting.

My goals were to a) give the characters more to do, b) give Miki reason to be in the story, and c) make it less of a remake of Mothra/Mothra vs. Godzilla. Do you think that was accomplished?
