As the music starts, a gigantic hand descends through the ceiling of the roof, the fist landing on the floor and slowly unfurling. Out steps DM in a tux, confidently striding towards the center stage. The fist soon retracts back, and the sounds of a fight can be heard faintly as he makes his way to the front and center stage. In hand is a trophy, which he casualy swings and points with as he talks.
Welcome one, welcome all, to the 10th Annual Semi-Emmys! I'll be your host for this one. It's that time of year again folks, and boy has it been a fun six months or so since the last one. Lots of new stories have come out, people have shifted places, new writers have joined, it's been a blast. And now, it's time for all to go and nominate those that we feel deserve some recognition, the ones that have shown brightly among the rest. Just for a friendly reminder, here are the rules that we all gotta follow when it comes to the wonderful, brilliant Emmys.
1. You can’t vote for yourself.
2. Only two votes per category, and you cannot double vote on the same nomination per category.
3. If there is only one fan-fic author’s fan-fic in a category then that category will be deleted.
4. If there are only two authors’ fan-fics in a certain category then those two authors can’t vote for the other author’s fan-fic.
5. You can, of course, like in every other Emmy Awards, request categories.
6. Submissions only from July 2nd to November 30th, which is the last Emmy start date to about now.
7. Also please state what category for each submission is so the host doesn't get confused.
8. People can nominate their own stuff.
9. Ties of course can happen, even three ways.
10. Yes, again, like in every Emmy Awards both authors and non authors can vote, just all you have to do is ask for a ballot when the host says “Ballot time!”
11. All nominations must be made by Friday, December 4. The Ballot will go up and out on the 5th, and I'll have the announcement sometime after that, aiming for the 6th currently.
12. You cannot have more than 2 of your fan fics, characters, whatever, in the same category unless there is less than 5 choices in the category.
13. No outsider fan fics can be requested. They all have to be on this site.
14. Those of you who are Beginners can participate as well. Just follow the above rules and you should be all set.
15. All nominations must be made by your decided date so I can give you guys your ballots on your decided date. Fill them all out on the same day and send them back to me and I’ll post the results on the your decided date.

But now, we all know that this isn't the best part. Everyone's favorite part is the categories. With this being the tenth Emmys and all of that wonderful jazz, i figure that we should have some more fun ones this time around. The standard fare will still be here, but what fun is life without a little spice in things?
