The Emissaries answer the world's pleas by defending it from the bad writers in massive scales. But, what about the people who are in need from behind the scenes to where their screams can't be heard or when gangs amass to where they're harassing the innocent. That is when the Nightwriters come in to protect the innocent and punish the oppressors. The oppressors trying to spread that their way of writing is the only way to write while the Nightwriters stand for equal writing as a whole. While also trying to improve everyone's writing and protect civilians in general.
The Nightwriters composes of a team of five super writers (One being the Crimson Cowl) and the other four being parodies of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Moon Knight. Read as they fight oppressors, make their city a better place and evolve from their starting points into what makes them each a Nightwriter.
1: Only five members for the Nightwriters which means only 4 are available since Crimson Hood (Daredevil equivalent) is already on the team.
2: State what character you're intending to parody.
3. All submissions must be made via PM.
4. You can do more than one, but just know that just because I approve one of yours doesn't mean I'll approve of the other(s).
5. Characters must be followed with guidelines if stated (JJ parody must have her appearance described a bit like it was in Emissaries S1 EP4 and have some sort of past with Yogini).
6. Characters don't have to be strictly on the gender of the character they're parodying (Example: Crimson Hood is the female equivalent of Daredevil).
7. You may create a minor character to corrolate with said Nightwriter character. Instructions are placed down below.
Battle Armor/attire (Optional):
Superpowers (Optional): (3 at the max or you can use it to divert to using multiple battle armors instead)
What inspired him/her to fight and writer?:
How do they link to said protagonist character?:
Name: Olivia Hawke/The Crimson Hood (Daredevil)
Battle Armor/attire (Optional): Wears a cloth layered suit that goes all the way that's black in the torso area, but colored crimson in the limb areas. The suit goes all the way to her neck as well as underneath she has some pads mad of lightweight metal with cushioning over it. This helps Olivia absorb melee attacks along with limited knife attacks. Hence this is how she can keep herself in a fight despite not having the best gear.
She also has a hood that hooks on her shoulders all the way just a bit passed her eyes. Olivia has eyeholes cut out on the hood with her blind silver gray color eyes showing.
Superpowers (Optional): Expert at martial arts, master at parkour and amazing at all four of her remaining senses since her blindness.
Weapons: A small katana, two nunchucks, small throwing buzz saws and flashbangs.
Appearance: White skin along with her gray colored eyes and long black hair. Her hair is usually seen curly. She stands at 5'6 feet and is usually seen wearing a dress accompanied by a coat during university and formal attendances. For casual purposes, she is seen wearing a t-shirt with a hoodie over it and blue jeans.
Personality: A calm, collected woman who has a friendly approach to her and willing to assist when the time is right. Though she is calculating and a good strategizer. However, when she dawns the Crimson Hood, she becomes ruthless when fighting crime. Olivia forbids from most killings and only does it when there's no other way. Though that won't stop her from making them suffering to even where she'll cut a few limbs off.
Background: Olivia was raised by her mother ever since her father passed on when she was five. The two lived in a suburban apartment in a somewhat bad area of New York. She had a decent life with friends, having a good relationship with her mother and well in school to where she made honor roll and received many scholarships. Though her once regular life changes when one night her and her mother were walking in the cold dark rains from Red's dinner when two muggers kidnapped her. Olivia cried in terror as they were about to cut her throat open when a man with solar flare like powers stopped him, but at the cost of her losing her eyesight. The man returns her back to her mother and despite being saved, she couldn't help but feel anger towards the man. A few days after when a doctor she visited told her that she would be blind permanently. This devastated both her and her mother, as they both cried at the result of this causing Olivia to go into depression. Until she heard the heroics of the Emissaries saving New York from the Scholarites causing her to be inspired. With some much persuasion to her mother, she was able to take classes in self defense, martial arts and athleticism. Then with enough of savings and getting financial aid, she orders some gear from various places and created her suit. After a few attacks on gang members and thugs and defending the helpless, she has since earned the name of The Crimson Hood. Ever since then she balances her life between crime fighting and attending college along with wanting to find Matt and exact revenge upon him for making her become blind.
Battle Armor/attire: Though she mostly sticks to civilian attire nowadays, she still owns a costume. Said costume consists of a one-piece suit, gloves, and boots. The suit is primarily white, with a large light blue v-shaped insignia spanning from shoulder to shoulder. The gloves and boots are the same shade of blue as the insignia.
In a move that can only be described as one of self-loathing, she also still has the costume she wore while enthralled by Mindfucker. Said costume is near identical to her hero costume, save for the colors being swapped with black and red, and it having a mask that covers the entire head with a red v-shaped visor for the eyes. She keeps it as a reminder and a warning about the dangers of making a name for oneself.
Superpowers: Super strength, flight
Appearance: 5’ 8” in height, has long black hair with purple highlights, light skin, and blue eyes.
Personality: Solemn; a faint layer of regret laces her voice; always looking over her shoulder; tends to drink.
Background Info: A NYC native, Evelyn Blake was an aspiring writer. Aside from writing for the school newspaper during high school, she also received high marks in her writing classes... when she adhered to the prompt given, of course. She was known for being a bit of a free spirit when it came to writing, and her grades would often suffer for it.
Shortly after graduation, she had gotten caught in an accident involving a tanker that was hauling experimental ink. While her parents perished in the accident, Evelyn was merely rendered comatose for two months. Upon waking, she discovered that her hair had developed purple highlights and that she had acquired superhuman strength and the ability to fly. With these newfound powers, she began what would turn out to be a rather uneventful career as a superhero.
And then, one night, it all changed.
It was supposed to be simple, bust a crack-fic dealer that had recently set up shop, hand him over to the authorities, and go home, so when said crack-fic dealer looked as though he was running for his life, she was more than a little surprised. Having apprehended the dealer, she listened as he babbled on about some vile monster that was chasing him. Looking in the direction the dealer came running from, she was stunned to see a beautiful woman in red come around the corner rather than some rock-faced gorilla-man. That was when the dealer became wild, stabbing Evelyn in the leg before running off screaming like a madman.
The mysterious woman came to Evelyn’s aide and escorted her home, even going so far as to volunteer to help stitch her up. As her wound was getting stitched up, Evelyn asked for the woman’s name.
“Of course, how impolite of me. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Yogini Manjit. But don’t worry, we’ll get to know each other much better momentarily.”
It was then that Evelyn began to hear Yogini’s voice inside her head despite her having clearly finished speaking. Flinging herself away from the woman, Evelyn tried to crawl away as Yogini bombarded her mind. It was all a setup, the crack-fic dealer was nothing more than Yogini’s bait, and Evelyn was now hers.
For one year, one long year, she was Yogini’s servant. Her most prized enforcer, and her favorite plaything, used to impose Yogini’s will upon those who would not willingly bend to it. Evelyn’s not entirely sure of how many people she’s harmed, as her memories of that long year are hazy at best. She’s not even sure how it was that she was freed from Yogini’s control, the most she’s been able to remember after waking up was a man in black.
Since then, she’s sworn off the heroics, deciding to lay low and not draw attention to herself in fear of being found by Yogini. But you know what they say about old habits...
What inspired her to fight and write?: Watching way too much TV and movies when she was a kid lead to her having rather wild dreams, which in turn lead to her jotting all that stuff down onto paper and turning it into stories. She never once thought something as innocent as writing could get corrupted and turned into something ugly, but when a friend of hers fell victim to a bad crack-fic, she decided to wage a campaign against those who would intentionally sully the quality of writing.

Weapons: None, or whatever’s closest to her, just pray it doesn’t conduct electricity. Even then, you better hope she doesn’t go for your legs…she plans on talking to Sal about possibly getting something like gun-chakus, maybe even a war hammer like she always joked about.
Appearance: Black hair that runs down to the middle of her back, she keeps it in a ponytail when there’s a fight after a painful lesson from Carol Ina. Her eyes are an electric blue, always shining with a spark of thought or emotion. She stands at 5’9.5”, tan and athletic but deceivingly strong thanks to training under Sal and Carol Ina’s wing for some time. Has a tribal thunder bird tattoo across her back from when she fought the beast.
Personality: Lie Su is a very calm, mellow and deliberate woman when she goes about her business or is around new people, and can be very insightful when her friends need help or advice. But once she warms up to them, or feels like it, she is very enthusiastic and out-going. Even in combat she’s joyful, but she never loses her focus of the goal at hand, and is surprisingly strategic. Despite the cute and bubbly yet calm and focused personality she generally displays, she enjoys the thrill of battle which doesn’t translate well into other issues. So if you mess with her friends, she breaks your legs. You decide to burn down the city while she’s writing? Kiss your kneecaps goodbye. The golden ticket with her is pancakes…lots and lots of pancakes.
Background Info: Lie Su Feng-Torden was the daughter of Dr. Donald Torden, an up-and-coming MD in the world of medicine from Norway but lived with the Lakota and Hua Feng, a historian and archaeologist hailing from China. One changed the textbooks of medicine; the other of various cultures’ mythologies and almost rewrote the art of war. Why almost? Because days after the Scholarite Invasion while on a trek with the Lakota to learn about the Thunder Bird myth, a band of heavily armed men dubbed The Cryptics attacked. Speaking in strange vernaculars and claiming her parents were changing and teaching the world far too much, they attacked their party leaving only Lie Su and a shaman named Santa Claws for dead until the war cries of Squad 63 came to their aid. Santa explained to Lie Su and her saviors about the Thunder Bird, in the flesh, in the canyon of Wakhan Kiya and that Lie Su must be the one to defeat it, as its power runs in her blood, namely her father’s blood, but has yet to be claimed. Upon tackling the great bird and plunging her fists into its electric heart, she took on the mantle of the Thunder Bird, just as generations of her bloodline had before her.
What inspired her to fight and write?: Her travels with Sal and the rambunctious Squad 63 showed her how a world of good writing can be won with both effort and some broken legs. Her participation in the fight against Operation GhostWriter as well as her investigation into The Cryptics is what inspired her the most. Under the tutelage of Sal, she understood how the world needs people like them to write in peace and be free of overzealous "writing kings." She doesn’t mind leading the charge on the streets and underground while her friends in P.L.O.T. and in the Emissaries took care of the headline work.
