"Return to Sinnoh" Discussion

Post by HayesAJones »

(Before this begins, I should acknowledge that, yes, I DO still have to continue and finish "Rise of Iolleun". And I plan to. I know I've promised that before, but what time I haven't spent putting this together, I've been gathering and reorganizing my notes on "Iolleun." To be perfrectly honestly, I've sorta... well, I've forgotten where I meant to go with it.

... *eherm*

So, while I recollect my thoughts on that, I present to you a story that's been brewin' in my head for a very long time. "Iolleun" has a very spur-of-the-moment type of thing, so hopefully this is more structured/directed.)

--

Heya, TKers! I'm stilling riding the wave of Pokecraze generated by the release of X and Y, so, with blessings (and a lead character) from MothraRocks, author of "Pokemon: Kanto Adventures!" and regular here in the Fan Fiction section, I have decided to write my very own Pokemon story!

Now, this story will be a bit different than the Pokemon norm established here at TK (by, like, two things), because instead of following the games or show, it will take place nine years after the events of Pokemon Platinum Version and follow a new lead who will be accompanied by the older trainer who did battle with Team Galactic in the continuity of the game. Now, I've taken some creative license to shoehorn in my own headcanon... er, I mean create a better story, so be aware of that. Some of the changes will be obvious just by what you see below.

--

Aaaaaaaaaaand, sign ups are over! We had a great haul. Lots of cool characters.

So, without further adieu, here is the full cast of characters provided by the good people here at TK:

Name: Ryder Smith (MothraRocks)
Age: 19
Home region: Sinnoh
Hometown: Canalave City
Appearance: Ryder is 6'1 with medium length blonde hair that is always somewhat messy, along with piercing blue eyes. He wears khaki jeans with a dark green t shirt, and a thin black sweatshirt over it, always unzipped. Around his neck lays a Lunar Wing that he bought from tourist shop in his town, tied with a piece of leather string, though it is most likely fake.
Personality: Ryder is a kind soul, he just has trouble showing it sometimes. He's kind of reserved, and not too outgoing when placed in social situations with new people. However, once he gets to know someone he opens up rather quickly. He is determined to get what he wants most of the time, which sometimes results in complications from not acknowledging the after effects of his actions. While he is kind most of the time, if he has made an enemy in the past he is very unlikely to let that grudge go.
Trainer status: Rookie, because he started to slack off in Trainer School
Motivation: Well, what kid/teen/adult/elder/corpse wouldn't want to set off on a Pokémon Journey? Ryder didn't. Well, at least not at first; he was content with staying in Canalave City and getting a job there, but after he began to fail Trainer School people began to talk about him, occasionally laugh. He never even made it to the Practical Battle stage due to not doing so hot on his written tests. So, he finally decided he would set off on a journey of his own to prove he is good enough, but plans to go back after getting five or so badges as he thinks that will be enough. While he is not resentful of Pokémon, he sure isn't ecstatic about them either.
Team:
- Glacier (Piplup) M
Nature: Rash
Quick to act upon impulse in sticky situations; this can lead to either good or bad results, and needs to work on controlling this.

Name: Maxine Wrangler
Age: 17
Home region: Sinnoh
Hometown: Iron Island
Appearance: Max is a tall, slender girl with an athletic build and an neutral expression of determined intensity. Lots of freckles. She wears a bright green-and-orange striped tank top over a a white shirt and and black running shorts. Her long blonde hair is kept tied back in a ponytail. Emerald green eyes.
Personality: Max is, in a word, intense- or this is at least how she is described by people meeting her for the first time. She is dedicated entirely to the idea of perfecting herself as a trainer, an ideal gained from her parents- Veteran Trainers hailing from the Hoenn region. Max greatly admires her parents, as well as many other great trainers, such the Sinnoh Elite Four and Champion. But her respect does not limit her ambition. She is convinced that she can train both herself and her Pokémon to a point where even the Champion can't stand in her way, something she has worked towards since she was six. Her belief is not unfounded. Max is already an excellent trainer, well aware of her Pokémon's strength and limits. But she does not seem to know of her own limits, already beginning to doubt that she can achieve her dream after only seven years of practical experience in Trainer School. In truth, Max is not as intense a person as she first seems. She is just as vulnerable to fear and doubt as anyone, even if she will not admit it. And just because she is a serious trainer does not mean she is a strict one. Max loves her Pokemon dearly and spoils them rotten. They do not perform as well as they do for her because she forces them to, but because they want too. She is a good trainer both on and off of the battlefield. Max finds it difficult to reveal her true self to other people though, so she is generally more abrasive than sweet- especially to Ryder, her senior in the Trainer School she attends and target of all her frustrations and pent up aggression. She believes Ryder is wasting his time and everyone else's there, because he is not %100 percent dedicated to making himself the best he can be like she is. This philosophy is not limited to Pokémon battles alone. Besides being an aspiring ace trainer, Max is also an amateur athlete, training her own body as hard as she does her Pokémon.
Trainer status: Still considered rookie, but well on her way to becoming an ace trainer.
Motivation: Max wants to be the best trainer there is, as well as prove that Ryder- who is, in her eyes, a slacker and an insult to her own hard work- is the worst. The first step to this, she has reasoned, is to defeat all eight Gym Leaders, then move on to beat the Champion- and all before he even clears his personal goal of five Gym Badges.
Team:
- Crosshair (Magnemite)
Nature: Hasty
Characteristic: Good perseverance
Crosshair, despite the stoic reputation of Steel-types, is an eager Pokémon who is very perceptive to its trainer's wishes. Unlike its trainer however, it doesn't feel any particular malice towards Ryder or his Pokémon. In fact, Crosshair seems quite keen on befriending Glacier, even if his trainer's wishes don't really allow it. Crosshair is devoted to Max in a rare way. It would follow her absolutely anywhere.

Name: Hayden Mondant
Age: 21
Home region: Sinnoh
Hometown: Snowpoint City
Appearance: Short and slim- might be called scrawny. Wears a dark winter jacket and black fedora with a red feather from his trusted and ever present Sneasel tucked into its band. His wavy brown hair forms an impressive curl that juts from his forehead like a spiral horn. Bright teal eyes.
Personality: With almost a decade of traveling, training, and battles under his belt, Hayden is an experienced and relaxed trainer with little worries in life. Or at least he tries to be. Manic and irritable, Hayden is a loud, excitable person trying to reign in his own antics. Thrilled when things go his ways and maddened when they do not. Can be hostile and callous when he is frustrated, but is otherwise generous and supportive. Has a weakness for eggs, baby Pokemon, and female Gym Leaders.
Trainer status: A verified Ace Trainer. Hayden has been battling since he was ten and has had the same goal his entire career- become Champion of Sinnoh. But, as often as he has tried, Hayden has never been able to beat the current Champ, Cynthia. It is a victory that has eluded him even after he drove Team Galactic from his home region at the very start of his journey. Briefly held the title of the Champion of the Indigo Plateau, but was ousted by a younger trainer named Gold within five days of taking the throne. Currently lives in Kalos, making use of a small house that belongs to the Gym Leader Wulfric in Snowbelle City, although he visits his home region often.
Motivation: Defeat Cynthia and become the Sinnoh Champion. Rub it in her face.
Team:
- Divebomb (Stararptor) F
Nature: Quiet
Characteristic: Proud of its power
Divebomb is Hayden's oldest, most loyal, and perhaps most competent Pokémon. Caught with a Snorunt borrowed from his mother June, the former Snowpoint Gym Leader, she has been with him for the entirety of his Pokémon journey. She is not an affectionate or even very expressive Pokémon, but her strength and fortitude has won Hayden many battles and they respect each other a great deal. A powerful flier, Divebomb can bring devastating blows onto her enemies and dance around their attacks, but finds it difficult to otherwise counter opponents, particularly when they bring super effective moves to bear or resist her own moves. She is not as fast as the other Pokemon on Hayden's team. To win battles, she must rely entirely on her strengths. As the eldest of Hayden's team, Divebomb acts like something of a guardian to his other Pokémon, watching them from the corner of her eye at all times. She is not quite a mother figure to them, but is at least as close to it that many of them have ever had. She keeps a particular close eye on Glaslieyer, who is often up to no good, and Gem, who is the youngest among them.
- Buoy (Floatzel) F
Nature: Hardy
Characteristic: Capable of taking hits
The second Pokémon that Hayden caught and another of his oldest, most important partners, Buoy is a powerful mixed brawler with a body hardened by years of combat. Although she is not as fierce an attacker as some of his other companions, she is fast and can endure blows that would stagger even Steel-types. Buoy gained a certain amount of fame separate from the rest of Hayden’s companions by tearing through most of Sinnoh's Elite Four by herself the first time her trainer challenged them. Although she is just as serious as Divebomb, Buoy is a great deal more affectionate. She has a weakness for the touch of her trainer- particular when he scratches a spot behind her left ear that she can never quite reach. Also quite fond of her younger teammates, protecting and mentoring them in their youth and respecting them as equals when they grow older. If Divebomb is the strict mother of Hayden's team, Buoy is the relaxed older sister. Although she is primarily a battler, Buoy also holds a flare for Pokémon pageants.
- Glaslieyer (Sneasel) F
Nature: Naughty
Characteristic: Strongly defiant
Hayden didn't actually catch Glaslieyer, his signature Pokémon and go-to battler, but was given the wily Sneasel by his oldest and closest friend- Candice, the current Snowpoint Gym Leader and chosen protector of the Snowpoint Temple. Candice took in the young Sneasel, nicknamed “Glase,” as a baby after she was driven from her clan by a rival Weavile who had challenged the group's alpha male- Glase's father- and won. The cruel young victor then tried to extinguish all traces of the old male by slaughtering his sole child, but Glase's mother intervened and the two escaped. Glase's mother soon expired from her injuries, but the infant Sneasel was spared from death by a young Candice, who was training at the Snowpoint Temple at the time. She raised the orphaned Sneasel for several years before gifting her to Hayden, a lifelong neighbor, just before he set off on his Pokémon journey- the first time the two friend had ever separated for any length of time. Initially, Hayden and Glase didn't get along. Within a week of leaving his hometown and birthplace, Glase had disobeyed Hayden's every order, destroyed her Pokeball, and gone as far to abandoned her trainer. But, after being found alone and scared in the alleyways of Veilstone City by Divebomb, she returned to Hayden and the two have become very close since then. Although she has matured since her days as a runaway, Glase is still the most childish of Hayden’s Pokémon, prone to rage, jealously, and mischief. She is particularly mean spirited towards women. Glaslieyer is more than a little possessive of her trainer and will not have him becoming too friendly with females other than herself and Candice. Because she destroyed her Pokeball during her days of disobedience, Glase spends most of her time riding on her trainer's shoulder or atop of his head. She refuses to evolve. Due to the circumstances of her orphaning, she has a intense hatred of all Weavile- even the one under Candice that evolved from a Sneasel she grew up alongside. Glase is almost always the Pokemon that Hayden chooses to use first. Lightning fast and stronger than she appears, Glaslieyer is a skilled fighter that can take down almost any threat that she is not overwhelmingly weak against. She is fragile though. She cannot afford to allow herself to be hit. Despite Glaslieyer's combative prowess, there is one foe that has always trumped her- Cynthia's Garchomp. Glase feels as intensely about defeating the Champion as her trainer does. She also feels fierce rivalry with Divebomb for being an older, wiser partner to Hayden, although she has never had any problem with Buoy, despite her being almost as old a companion as the Staraptor. It is a secret kept between her and her trainer that Glaslieyer enjoys dressing up immensely. She has wanted to take part in one of Sinnoh's Pokemon contests ever since learning of them, but has never worked up the nerve.
- Champon (Lucario) M
Nature: Serious
Characteristic: Sturdy body
Champon is one of the youngest of Hayden's team and the most eager to prove himself. Hatched in the Johto region from an egg given to Hayden by Riley, the owner of Iron Island, Champon is a versatile, sturdy mixed fighter that idolizes his teammate Buoy- the Lucario gets more than a little flustered around the older, tougher Pokémon. Besides his hot nervousness around Buoy, Champon is a calm, collected soul that rarely acts without thought. Able to counter almost any foe and strike back super effectively against those who seek to exploit his type weaknesses, he is Hayden's universal answer to hardships that weigh down his own Pokémon due to type match up. Coming from a long line of powerful and respected Lucario that have been spread across all the regions as the Pokemon of Gym Leaders, Champions, and other notable trainers, Champon feels great pressure to train and hone himself to his absolute potential. In terms of innate ability, he is the strongest of Hayden's permanent team. But he lacks the experience to make him the strongest in actual battle. While certainly not weak or foolish, he still has a long way to go before he becomes all that he can be.
- Coil (Arbok) M
Nature: Jolly
Characteristic: Takes plenty of siestas
One of the two permanent additions to Hayden's team from Johto, Coil is a good natured and complacent Arbok with little qualms about achieving what his trainer and teammates wish of him. If Champon is Hayden's answer to bad type match ups, Coil is his go-to solution for otherwise tough opponents. A versatile jack-of-all-trades, Coil does not have the raw speed, power, or fortitude of his teammates, but just enough of each to excel against practically any foe that eludes the grasp of his other Pokémon. Coil gets along well with the rest of Hayden's team, but is on particular good terms with Buoy and Gem. The Arbok and Floatzel get along because of their similarly lax personalities, and Hayden acquired Coil and Gem the closest together of all his Pokemon so they grew up together like siblings. And although they were adopted into the team at almost the same time, Gem is the younger of the two, so Coil has taken up a protective role over her. Nothing can get away with antagonizing the young Espeon without receiving a glare or a hiss from the older Poison-type. Coil was the most accomplished Pokéathlete among Hayden's team back in the Johto region.
- Gem (Espeon) F
Nature: Mild
Characteristic: A little quick tempered
Hastily received as an Eevee from a rushed box operator with too little time on his hands to properly care for the finicky little princess of a Pokémon, Gem took the longest of all of Hayden's Pokémon to evolve, so she's still a bit spoiled from being the 'baby' of the group for so long and it sometimes shows. She is often upset if she does not get something fastest, and is not above making her feeling about not getting served first well known. Still, she is a affection, well intended Pokémon and a strong addition to Hayden's team. Although nowhere near as physical as his other Pokémon, she knows a wide array of powerful special attacks and finds it difficult to face a foe who she cannot hit for super effective damage. But when pushed into a corner, she tends to fall back upon her powerful Psychic-type attacks no matter what the situation. The least developed of Hayden's team as well as the most freshly evolved, she sometimes finds it difficult to control her own abilities. She suffers terrible tempter tantrums followed by fits of weighty sadness when she fails to control herself, but is almost always swiftly comforted by Buoy or Coil. Gem and Glaslieyer are quite standoffish, the only two among Hayden's team that genuinely do not like each other. The two duel for attention from their trainer.

Name: Jeremy Hudson (Russell)
Age: 14
Home region: Kalos
Hometown: Ambrette Town
Appearance: Jeremy is slightly tall for his age at around 5'8. He has average length dark hair, and possesses dark green eyes. Jeremy is quite skinny as well, and wears average trainer clothes. (Hat, jacket, etc.)
Personality: Jeremy is hotheaded, arrogant and a loudmouth. He continuously badmouths those who he considers "not worthy of being a trainer" (AKA everyone). On the other side, if he begins to find someone likable, he'll remain loyal to them and will defend them passionately. His arrogance is almost always the leading cause if he loses a battle or messes something up.
Trainer status: Rookie
Motivation: Jeremy quests to, well, be the very best trainer the world has ever seen.
Team:
- Alduin (Dratini) M
Nature: Hasty
Jeremy's favored Pokemon, his Dratini, is a perfect example of "Big things come in small packages". Alduin hits hard, he's fast, he's cunning and he could very easily wreck a weak trainers team on his own. However, he can be bested by Fairy-types all. The. Time. He was bought from a trading company so there aren't any plot holes here.
- Grymm (Scyther) M
Nature: Brave
Originally Jeremy's favorite Pokémon, but was edged out by Alduin. Therefore, he harbors a strong dislike for the Dratini that stole his spot as Number 1, and has become a cold, efficient battler.
- Croak (Frogadier) F
Nature: Adamant
Jeremy's starter Pokémon, however, she's kind of underused. Despite this, she's a fairly happy Pokémon that doesn't like battling, but still does so due to her loyalty to Jeremy.
- Mothra (Vivillon) F
Nature: Brave
The most aggressive member of Jeremy's team, Mothra loves to battle and seems to somehow be one of the strongest members of Jeremy's team. Her aggression stems from being the Pokémon Devil.

Name: Lucy Squama (Flygon King)
Age: 24
Home region: Hoenn
Hometown: Lavaridge Town
Appearance: At 6 ft 2. long, black hair that reaches down to the knees, and a sleeveless tank top and shorts, Lucy can be said to be a true beauty, and an irresistible lure... all the more concealing just what she hides under her face. Many say she bears a slight resemblance to the Battle Pike Leader of the same first name, but she brushes this off as mere coincidence, and actually has made her skin a slight tanned color to help differentiate the two of them
Personality: Cold, yet also humorous and energetic, Lucy loves to taunt and please. She enjoys the outdoors, and loves her Pokémon a lot. She is secretly a member of the International Police, and uses her good looks and battling skills to help apprehend unsuspecting criminals. There are even rumors that Lucy isn't even her real name, and one she only adopted because she is a fan of the Battle Pike Leader. She can be a bit haughty and aloof at times, but once you earn her trust, she becomes a large cuddle bunny... one that can kick your ass, but still a large cuddle bunny that loves children.
Trainer status: Veteran. Having been a trainer for five years, she knows the ins and out of her 4-mon squad, and can be a devastating opponent. However, she also likes to play dumb, to lure her opponents into a false sense of security before she smashes their win condition apart.
Motivation: The reason she became a trainer, and for that matter, a member of the International Police, was because five years ago, her younger brother's pet Swinub was stolen by a Pokémon thief. Determined to get it back, she raced off to become a trainer, while also helping those in need along the way. As the years passed, she still hasn't given up hope, and writes letters back to her family and brother on how she's doing...
Team:
- Charybdis (Gyarados, F)
Nature: Adamant
Charybdis was her starting Pokémon. Five years ago, she caught it as a Magikarp using an Old Rod, and leveled it up ALL THE WAY TO EVOLVING by itself... even if it meant using it as an actual flail on wild 'mons to knock them out. As a Gyarados, Charybdis is actually rather mellow, and spends most of her time, sleeping... but if you actually wake her up and get her mad, she WILL tear your team a new one. When she wants something done, she will not hesitate to get it done, and can't be talked out of it.
- Jubilee (Seviper, F)
Nature: Naive
Jubilee was caught as Lucy's second Pokémon. it was the leader of a horde of Seviper that ambushed her, but Charybdis, still a weak Magikarp at this point, came out of her Pokéball to protect her master. Amused and touched by the fish's bravery, Seviper allowed herself to be caught and named Jubilee. As a member of the team, Jubilee loves to poison, and her fangs make everything fear them. A Steel-type? She can BREATH FIRE! She believes she is the top of the world... though a quick smack from Charybdis puts her back in place.
- Smog (Weezing, M)
Nature: Modest
Smog... is an odd member of the team. Lucy found him one day as he was floating around a Pokémon center and caught him in one Pokéball. He is a mammoth of a physical wall, taking anything thrown at him while burning them back or lobbing more sludge at them. Despite his appearance, he actually is very mellow as well, and tends to just float there, letting kids hug him and pet him, or even use him as a football at times. Smog is basically Lucy's PR Pokémon for getting with clients and families better, since he's so well behaved.
- Hyperion (Salamance, M)
Nature: Jolly
Hyperion is the most powerful member of Lucy's arsenal, and is only saved for when she needs the extra umph to take down a foe. He's always happy when he's called out, and at times, acts like an oversized puppy that doesn't know his own strength. This has led to a child getting injured because of him, and since then, Lucy keeps him in the Pokéball more often than not, or on a VERY tight leash. When he is fighting, he is an agile, destructive monster that is capable of bursting down walls... lately though, he's been showing fear of Azumarrils and Togekiss's, as well as Granbulls and Wigglytuffs

Name: Felix Aurora (Giral2010)
Age: 13
Home region: Johto
Hometown: Azalea town
Appearance: 4'7", around 100 lbs, Felix is a tiny guy. Then again, he is young. He has thin glasses covering electric blue eyes, along with spiked red hair. He is pale and freckled.
Personality: Due to his age, Felix is energetic yet shy, but can get really weird once you get to know him. He also has a short temper, and will attack anyone who bullies him or his friends without a sense of fairness. He is the dirtiest fighter there is, relying on dirt and teeth rather than the muscle he lacks. However, to anyone he has befriended, he is friendly and warm, not to mention eager to please. He is also an amazing cook.
Trainer status: Rookie.
Motivation: Felix battles simply because he loves Pokémon, much like any young person. As such, he chooses Pokémon based on looks, not powers.
Team:
- Gill (Croconaw) M
Nature: Brave
Gill is a very boastful Pokémon, showing off very often and throwing smug looks here and there. Even when a Pokémon much stronger than him comes along, he stands his ground, although less confident. He is the most loyal Pokémon Felix could ask for.
- Jaba (Croagunk)
Nature: Relaxed
Jaba is a gluttonous blob of a Croagunk. He is slightly chubbier than most Croagunks, and this is because of his love for food. He will eat mounds upon mounds of food, and sometimes even hides some in his mouth when he retreats into a Pokéball, hoping to get a snack inside. This does not mean he doesn't respect Felix's desires, even if he has to get up and battle. Jaba loves Felix, and he gets bonus food when he wins a battle, so its a win-win for him. Felix found him in his journeys in Sinnoh.
- Bonzai (Tyrunt) & Bilbo (Cranidos)
Nature: Brave (Bonzai), Timid (Bilbo)
Bonzai and Bilbo are best friends, sharing food, space, and a trainer. Felix found Bonzai and Bilbo as eggs, getting them from a shady dealer who thought he was giving him Magikarp and Metapod eggs for a Tyranitar. After he got them to hatch, Bilbo and Bonzai immediately became best friends, having hatched together. Bonzai is the leader of the two, getting the shyer Bilbo to do crazy and adventurous things. They defend each other fiercely, and become sad when separated.

Name: Zachary Von Garde (Corzak the Mighty)
Age: 20
Home region: Hoenn
Hometown: Slateport city, in a small home by the beach.
Appearance: Short, light-skinned guy with somewhat long hair. Always has a pair of shades on and often dresses very casually.
Personality: A little bit on the smug side, often thinking that he's the best and believing that no one can defeat his team. However, getting to know him often has him soften up a bit.
Trainer status: Ace. While not the best trainer around, he's quite skilled and knows what he's doing.
Motivation: Zachary just loves to battle in general. He finds it satisfying and an enjoyable pass time. He also views it as a way to meet new and unique people.
Team:
- Kenshiro (Lucario) M
Nature: Hasty
Easily one of the most dangerous members of Zach's team, Lucario was the first Pokémon ever given to him, when he received it as a Riolu as a Christmas present from his uncle in Unova. Zachary was disappointed by it at first, but quickly grew to love him when the Riolu protected him from a pack of Poochyenas. The two grew an inseparable bond, and are now considered near-unbeatable. Few can handle Kenshiro's Close Combat and last long enough to retaliate.
- Buff (Azumarill) M
Nature: Brave
Buff was one of the first Pokémon ever caught by Zach when he began as a Pokémon trainer, and one of the few that has stuck through with him alongside Kenshiro. Starting as a lowly Azurill, Buff quickly became one of the VIPs of his team, taking out key threats with its bulk and powerful attacks. While normally calm, Buff will rise to the challenge and defend his friends from danger.
- Titus (Metagross)
Nature: Adamant
Found only by chance in the wilds of Hoenn, Metagross was actually saved from a scrap heap by Zach, and it quickly came to respect him. Using his sheer power and bulk to defeat opponents, Titus is one not to be trifled with. He laughs off even the strongest ground and fire attacks a retaliates with powerful meteor mashes, easily able to strike down opponents in a single blow.
- Hard-Shell (Kabutops) M
Nature: Lax
Found while diving along the bottom of the ocean, Hard-Shell was a late addition to Zach's team. However, Hard-Shell proved to be a fast, powerful addition to his team. With claws that could strike down nearly anything, Hard-Shell became a stalwart defender, and a good partner to Azumarill in underwater expeditions.
- Aragorn (Gallade) M
Nature: Brave
Found early in his career, Aragorn was the second Pokémon caught by Zachary, after his Azumarill. Originally a Ralts, Zach was tempted to dump the creature out of anger and frustration. By some stroke of luck, Zach managed to find the patience one day to a Kirlia. However, his uncle gave him a dawn stone one day, which reacted to his Kirlia, turning it into a Gallade. Aragorn protected his master with incredible ferocity, and became a bash-buddy with Kenshiro early on, acting as an unbreakable wall against foes. As such, Aragorn and Kenshiro are great friends and often try to aid each other whenever possible.

Name: Cesar LaRoux (King Caesar)
Age: 18
Home region: Kanto
Hometown: Saffron City
Appearance: As a so-called "Ace-Trainer", Cesar has a red jacket and a hat with a Pokèball on the front. Black pants, black shoes. Aviator sunglasses. Keeps Pokèballs inside his jacket. Pale skinned; has very intimidating green eyes that can turn friendly in an instant. Height: 6'2" & decently muscular.
Personality: A devil in battle, Cesar has earned himself the fabulous reputation of being the most brutal Pokèmon Trainer in Kanto. He calculates everything, and will leave his opponents dazzled by his Pokèmon's quick and powerful attacks. However, outside of the battlefield, Cesar is a lover. He cares deeply about his Pokèmon and has taken an active role in Safari Zone conduct across Japan. Works well with everyone except for girls...they make him nervous. Big time.
Trainer status: Ace
Motivation: Sinnoh's a new frontier for Cesar. New Pokèmon and new friends await him. He, like many other ambitious trainers, plans to obtain all eight badges and assume the throne in the Pokèmon League.
Team:
- Aquamarie (Lapras) F
Nature: Bold
Cesar's most trustworthy compassion. His first Pokèmon, Aquamarie is tough and elegant. And self-assured. Cesar and Aquamarie have battled together since he was a Youngster, and their bond remains as strong as ever. With her Perish Song and Sheer Cold, any trainer can expect a tough battle from Aquamarie. When not battling, she is very playful.
- King Acid (Nidoking) M
Nature: Adamant
The Yin to Aquamarie's Yang, King Acid is a no-nonsense kind of Pokèmon. His best moves are Earthquake and Sludge Bomb, and Sand Attack and Toxic prove to be reliable tactical attacks against opponents. Nidoking is stolid, even when he's not battling. However, he cares about his trainer and teammates, and will take a hit for them, regardless of the cost.
- Bebe (Miltank) F
Nature: Quirky
Bebe is Cesar's newest Pokèmon, but one who has already found a welcome place on his team. Bebe is a strange cow, often rolling around to get a laugh out of her trainer. She has a powerful move set, knowing Rollout, Return, Recover, and Double-Edge. Her distracting nature and top-notch moves make Bebe a surprising contender as the most powerful member of Cesar's team.
- Boomer (Growlithe) M
Nature: Hasty
Boomer is Cesar's pet, and, much like Ash's Pikachu, stays out of his Pokèball most of the time. Boomer is young and reckless, making Cesar unsure about putting him into major battles yet. Boomer, being the good puppy that he is, greets other trainers by rubbing against them and yapping wildly (which is also why Cesar had never given Boomer a Fire Stone; can you imagine what would happen if a full-grown Arcanine did that?). Since he is out of his Pokèball most of the time, Boomer participates in Cesar's work to revitalize the Kanto Safari Zone.

Name: Henry Wilson (GodzillavsJason)
Age: 65
Home region: Kanto
Hometown: Fuchsia City
Appearance: Has aging gray hair as well as a gray goatee, stands perfectly straight and doesn't hunch over for his age. He wears a brown jacket with a white shirt underneath and brown pants and a reddish brownish scarf.
Personality: He is what a lot of people consider a gentlemen, meaning he is always polite during conversations and willing to help people out. Though sometimes he might have to put aside helping people if it's a task that it is urgent for him to complete. He's also seem like a person who's seen a lot in his time as he has a tired worn out expression and just is tired of everything that is going around the world. Even though he has done some good, there aren't times where he had to do bad things as well to prevent the Teams from achieving their goals and ever since has regretted doing those and never talks about them. Despite being pleasant to be around he hates it when people have a happy go lucky AKA a "Timey Wimey" attitude.
Trainer status: Veteran as he has battled trainers, Gym Leaders and even gangs all around the world. This has increased his tactics in battling as well as his Pokèmon's strengths.
Motivation: His motivation to become a trainer was about 55 years ago when he was tired of hearing of all the injustice and how non of the police stopped the local gangs. He is also very much against the abusing of Pokèmon by the likes of Team Rocket, Galactic, etc. Even at old age he will not stop till either all of the Teams have been defeated permanently or he dies. He also serves a mentor to fellow Pokemon trainers who want to make a difference in the world as well.
Team:
- Shellshock (Blastoise) M
Nature: Brave
Characteristic: Likes to Relax
Shellshock is Henry's first and oldest of his Pokèmon. The giant turtle has always been there for Henry and will stand with him until the end. Shellshock loves to relax and rest when given the chance but when duty calls, you can always count on him in a fight. He even has the approval of both Henry and the rest of the Pokemon and is even declared the second in command of the group only behind Henry of course. Shellshock is also consider the tank of the group and one of the heavy hitters. Shellshock is also very caring for his Pokemon brothers and sisters, going as far as taking the hits for them.
- Laserbeak (Staraptor) F
Nature: Bold
Characteristic: Quick to flee
Laserbeak is specializes defense and speed making her a very dangerous foe to come across to. This bird is not used for those two things but acts as a spy and has helped Henry gather Intel on the teams and used this as an advantage to bring those bases down. Laserbeak is also very cunning in defeating her foes and acting as one of a Team's pokemon if get caught as a last resort.
-Legacy (Marowak) M
Nature: Lonely
Characteristic: Nods off a lot
Legacy wasn't always his name long before he had a different name but neither him nor the Marowak remember it. Legacy is the second oldest of his Pokemon and represents him as his whole past and is the one who constantly has clear memory of all the events of what Henry, his group and himself have to remember. Even the bad memories. Because of this, this causes Marowak to be depressed that he has to have a clear memory of everything and causes him to be a loner of the group and prefers the company to himself. He'll really only accept Henry as company but that's just because Legacy reflects off his master.
- Darkness (Gengar) M
Nature: Naughty
Characteristic: Proud of its power
Darkness represents Henry's dark deeds in what he had to in his past and constantly feeds on those actions. Darkness has a dark sense of humor and not only eats on those dark actions but regular food as well. It doesn't really satisfy him in hunger but loves the taste of the food. He also loves to scare people/Pokèmon though this doesn't mean he always does this type of stuff he's quite friendly to his group members and is even consider the joker of the group. Always cheering his fellow Pokèmon and his trainer up when they all seem to be depressed.
- Venerable (Slaking) M
Nature: Calm
Characteristic: Likes to Relax
Like Shellshock, Venerable loves to relax, but, unlike the turtle, Venerable is literally a wall of defense. He is always there to act as a barrier for his Pokèmon allies letting them heal or regroup for a counter attack. Though lacking in both speed and attack he does make up for a lot of HP, meaning it will take a long time to take this one down. Venerable cares for his fellow Pokémon then if not then the whole group would have been defeated a long time ago for good. Not only likes to sleep but loves to eat and be entertained hence why Darkness and himself consider each brothers. Venerable reflects on Henry due to both being tired from all this battling and have seen a lot as well. Despite not being the oldest of Pokémon he sure acts like the oldest
- Inferno (Flareon) F
Nature: Modest
Characteristic: Highly Curious
Inferno is not only the youngest but the least experienced of the group. Henry took her under his leash only a few years ago when she was being threatened by a pair of Team Rocket goons. Ever since then she has always been protected by the other Pokèmon and even look at her like a little sister. She is very powerful in specializing in Special Attack meaning that she would KO her special attack opponents in two, maybe one hits. Inferno loves to journey around areas and is highly curious about how life goes. Inferno is also very caring and will always be there for her group and trainer.

Name: Joel Mundy (Ultraman Goji)
Age: 41
Home region: Kalos
Hometown: Couriway Town
Appearance: Tall, slender, has a scar under his right eye. He's nearsighted so he wears glasses all the time. Always wears a vest and his trademark brown slouch hat.
Personality: Joel has spent most of his life outdoors, and his knowledge of the wilderness is proof of that. He doesn't like being a "team player" and prefers to travel alone. Joel speaks with an almost Australian accent. He has a strange fascination with Ghost-type Pokémon and they make up almost half of his team.
Trainer status: Veteran. Joel has been training Pokémon since before some of the main characters were born. Originally he was a Pokémon Poacher but his old age caught up to him and now he spends most of his time with his Pokémon.
Motivation: Joel feels remorse for the various Pokémon he's poached over the years and is trying to forget his hunting days.
Team:
- Zosky (Sableye) M
Nature: Quirky
Characteristic: Impetuous and silly
Zoksy is Joel's oldest and most trusted team member. He's been with Joel since he was only six years old, when Joel's father gave Zosky to him as a gift. Zosky is somewhat of a Prankster and pulls good-natured jokes on Joel such as stealing his hat or tricking him with Double Team. He doesn't really battle much but when he does, Zosky can decimate an opponent's team if he gives it his all.
- Klefto (Kingdra) F
Nature: Hasty
Characteristic: Somewhat stubborn
A bit of odd circumstances fall on the only non Ghost-type on Joel's team: She was saved from poachers by Joel after they attempted to skin her for her precious hide. As a result, she is missing one of her antlers and is nearly blind in one eye. Nevertheless Klefto is a determined, yet stubborn, Kingdra and she never backs down from a fight. She isn't particularly fast, but her bulk and power nearly make up for it. Joel is sometimes too protective of her, he often fears she won't be around for long.
- Eastwood (Trevenant) M
Nature: Quiet
Characteristic: Often lost in thought
Eastwood was found in Santalune Forest as an abandoned egg. Joel raised the egg until it hatched into a baby Phantump. Being the youngest member of the team, Eastwood isn't as powerful as everyone else and is actually quite scatterbrained. He'll occasionally get lost in his own thoughts prompting others to either snap him out of it or play jokes on him (if it's Zosky).
- Spade (Dusknoir) M
Nature: Calm
Characteristic: Thoroughly cunning
If there's one Pokemon Joel's rivals truly fear, it's Spade. Spade has a dastardly history of being an extremely cunning and quick-thinking Dusknoir. With a variety of status and stat changing moves at his disposal, Spade can turn the tide of a battle very quickly. Outside of battling, Spade doesn't really bond with any of Joel's team members, but he does take a particular liking to Eastwood.

Name: Kyler Wolfe (Godzilla 1995)
Age: 18
Home region: Johto
Hometown: Goldenrod City
Appearance: Tall, thin, brown hair, tanned, well-built.
Personality: Quiet and thoughtful. Wolfe has a deep interest in why Pokémon are so willing to join with people, and what forges a bond between the two. His interest in their origins is legendary.
Trainer status: Ace. He's been around the block more times than once, and has defeated all of Johto's Gym Leaders. He can fight.
Motivation: Wolf fights to understand his Pokémon better. To him, they are friends, but very mysterious ones. He cares deeply for them and would do anything to protect them. Their origins, why they fight, and why they love their trainers fascinates him. Why do his Pokémon fight so willingly for him? That is his goal.
Team:
- Flareblaze (Typhlosion) M
Nature: Bold
Kyler's first Pokémon, and greatest friend. Flareblaze is a powerhouse of attack and speed, with a brutal moveset of fire attacks, and a secret Ground-type attack. Flareblaze is the meat of his team, an always will be.
- Rampage (*Gyarados) M
Nature: Mild
Rampage is mild as a Gyarados can be, which is not much at all. An extremely rare Red Gyarados found in the Lake of Rage, he soon became a heavy hitter on Wolfe's team, utilizing Water-, Ice-, and even Dark-type moves.
- Dwayne (Graveler) M
Nature: Modest
Dwayne is one of Wolfe's older Pokémon, and a lower-key member of his team. Not possessing the intensity of a Golem, Dwayne is a cheerful member of the team, employing a variety of Rock-Type and Ground-type attacks to keep foes at bay. But if all else fails, he will blow... very dangerously.
- Lightning (Ampharos) M
Nature: Bashful
When Wolfe first caught Lightning, he was the shyest Mareep in the fields. When he was released from his Pokéball, he would merely blush instead of actually fighting. But with plenty of training, and encouragement from Wolfe, Lightning eventually would become a mighty Ampharos, capable of creating massive electric storms, and controlling the mighty energy in deadly ways. He's not the loudest Pokémon in Wolfe's team, but he certainly is powerful.
- Knight (Tyranitar) M
Nature: Serious
Knight was not originally Wolfe's Pokémon, but was traded to him by a friend from Kanto. Knight was an unreasonable, unruly Pokémon who refused to obey his trainer, and was sent to his home region in an effort to cure him of his anger. Bit by bit, day by day, Knight came to love Wolfe and his team, and joined in as the powerhouse of the group. Knight is deadly, wielding a wicked Thunderbolt to offset his weakness against Water-type. Combine that with physical prowess and a deadly Earthquake, Knight is the strongest fighter in the team, second only to Flareblaze.

Name: Jack Sato (Biogoji)
Age: 20
Home region: Kanto
Hometown: Pallet Town
Appearance: Brown/hazel eyes, 6 foot tall, average build, wears a red jacket over a Ultraman t-shirt, jeans and a black baseball cap.
Personality: Jack is a funny person but is cocky and likes to trash talk his opponents however that doesn't stop him from a being a nice person.
Trainer status: Veteran. Challenged he elite four but lost to the champion.
Motivation: Wanted to become Champion but lost to the current Kanto Champion and moved to Sinnoh to train and grow stronger.
Team:
- Kemular (Venusaur) M
Nature: Bashful
Characteristic: Capable of taking hits
Kemular was Jack's starter and will always be loyal to Jack no matter what happens and will stick with him until the end. Kemular can endure most attacks, even a Fire Blast from a Charizard. Kemular blames himself for Jack's lost as he was his last Pokémon left in battle. Kemular either launches an all out attack or looks for a weakness and if there is no weakness, he makes one.
- Sparky (Raichu) M
Nature: Modest
Characteristic: Mischievous
In battle, Sparky is a mischievous fiend who uses every single chance he gets to defeat and maybe embarrass his opponent. However, outside and, to a small extent, inside battle, he is a lot like Jack. He is the team's comedian and is pretty cocky.
- Eagle Eye (Fearow) F
Nature: Adamant
Characteristic: Likes to fight
Eagle Eye was found injured by Jack on his way to Pewter City, so he take her to a Pokémon Center and ever since that she was a proud member of his team. Eagle Eye cares a great deal for the rest of her time and is pretty kind but she loves to fight and in battle she uses her speed to confuse her opponent before striking.
- Lueroi (Nidoking) M
Nature: Bashful
Characteristic: Proud of its power
If you are ever in battle against Lueroi, then you are in for a beating, however outside he's a pretty cool guy and can give you a bit of a laugh. Is loyal to Jack and will do what's good for his trainer and the rest of his team.
- Miles (Ninetails) M
Nature: Hasty
Characteristic: Likes to run
Miles is the smartest member of the team and uses it to his advantage as well as his skills of being sneaky outside of battle. He mostly spends his time creating new idea and is kind to the rest of his team.
- Derp (Slowbro) M
Nature: Calm
Characteristic: Somewhat vain
Derp's name sums him up completely. He doesn't really talk and sits there most of the time, in fact the rest of the team only speak to him where they are bored or are vainly attempting to get him to talk.

Name: Sal Gutierrez (SpanishBulldog63)
Age: 21
Home region: Kanto
Hometown: Pallet Town
Appearance: Short and powerfully stocky, a build that belies his demeanor, Sal has short black hair, a mustache and soul patch, and wears a black wife beater and jeans. His eyes are dark brown, almost black, giving a sense of mystery to him.
Personality: Sal is a humble and calm veteran trainer, never a bragger when it comes to his accomplishments. He is also very light-hearted, having a sarcastic/smartass sense of humor. Given his travels through various Native tribes and learning about their totems, Sal has a spiritual bond to his Pokémon. He is very protective of his friends and Pokémon, not afraid to resort to fisticuffs if need be. In battle, Sal is calculative and unpredictable, looking for weak spots and tendencies in his opponents.
Trainer status: Veteran
Motivation: Sal wants to explore the world, all the while becoming one of the greatest trainers in the world.
Team:
- Smaug (Charizard) M
Nature: Brave
Characteristic: Impetuous and Silly
Smaug is Sal's oldest team member, having been saved as a Charmander from a gang of Wartortles by Sal on a trek through the forests. Smaug takes on his trainers never-say-die attitude in battle, using various Fire-, Dragon-, Fighting-, and powerful Normal-type attacks to outmaneuver opponents like a swiss army knife. He's also a jokester, often joining Sal in pranks on other team members or each other, sometimes ending in Sal's food being burnt just before he eats it as a retort.
- Scylla (Gyarados) F
Nature: Calm
Characteristic: Capable of taking hits
The epitome of calm in Gyarados, Scylla is the teams gigantic damage sponge, taking licking but dishing out a dangerous kicking. It's not often if not damn rare to hear that a Gyarados is the Pokémon to calm things down between teammates when tensions rise. More often than not, the instigator is Goji.
- Goji (Tyranitar) M
Nature: Hardy
Characteristic: Proud of its power
The poke embodiment of Sal's strength, Goji rivals Smaug and Jaws as the team's strongest. As such, Goji manhandles opponents with brutal attacks and punishing tactics. Unfortunately, Goji is so sure of his strength that he challenges the four above to contests and when he doesn't get a clear-cut win, gets so upset that Scylla puts him in place. This usually doesn't translate well for those he faces, as they usually get his full frustration and need to go to the Pokémon Center ASAP.
- Slattern (Garchomp) F
Nature: Jolly
Characteristic: Thoroughly cunning
Meticulous, calculative, and downright frightening to face, Slattern is just as methodical as Sal in combat, eyeing for weak spots and attack/defense tendencies. But away from combat she's lively and jovial with others.
- Drake (Salamence) M
Nature: Modest
Characteristic: Strongly defiant
Drake is well-rounded, specializing in hit-and-runs and defensive maneuvers when not going head-on in combat. Unlike the others, Drake is pretty relaxed when it comes to victories, always thinking of the next battle and not much of the previous one. However, he is stubborn to put away and, just like Sal, will continue to fight until he or his opponent, no matter how big or strong, goes down.
- Jaws (Tyrantrum) M
Nature: Adamant
Characteristic: Likes to fight
Jaws is the most belligerent of the team, second only to Goji, as his predatory instincts keep him fighting until his foe goes down, and even then does he hesitate to back off when his foes' bodies twitch. But, combat aside, he's the only one who insists on humoring Goji's ego with his contests of physical prowess besides Smaug, though neither have the patience for the Tyranitar's pouty moments.

Name: Ethan Mane (Benn_Sonic_exe)
Age: 19
Home region: Kanto
Hometown: Lavender Town
Appearance: Ethan has an average build, is 5'10, and has short silver hair with lime green eyes. He wears a pink wool sweater with a cat face on it, and has blue jeans.
Personality: Ethan is shy, and has trouble making friends. However, he is very kind, and is nice to his Pokémon. Also he's sly like a fox.
Trainer status: Veteran.
Motivation: Ethan is a trainer because he wants to have fun battling and to make friends with his Pokemon.
Team:
- Scarlet (Arbok) F
Nature: Sassy
Scarlet was Ethan's second Pokémon. She, like her nature said, is sassy, and the only Pokémon that doesn’t have a strong bond with him. She will do anything to win, and usually spams overpowered moves. She also hates to lose, and doesn’t understand type advantages.
- Deemer (Tauros) M
Nature: Adamant
Deemer likes to fight, and is tenacious. He is courageous, but that usually leads to him underestimating, and fighting Pokémon he has disadvantages against. He was the 3rd Pokémon Ethan caught, and has been loyal ever since.
- Trunkosaur (Venasaur) H
Nature: Timid
Trunkosaur was Ethan's first Pokémon, and is a tank. He is extremely powerful but often underestimates himself, so he is surprised every time he wins.
- Quetzalcoatl (Dragonair) M
Nature: Lonely
Q. is shy, and hasn’t evolved yet. He Does his best in a fight, and wants to be friends with the other Pokémon.
- Sylv (Sylveon) F
Nature: Calm
Sylv was the 2nd Pokémon Ethan caught, and has became best friends with him.
- Mech (Metagross) M
Nature: Naughty
I'm lazy today, so I'm just gonna say he's really powerful and stuffz.

You can also expect appearances from in-games characters as well as members of a new(ish) enemy team!

Even as the board goes under anarchy... THE DARK LORD APPROVES OF THIS NEW FANFICT! I never tire out! I never get upset with things! I AM ALWAYS HERE! I AM A SUPER SAIYA- ERM I MEAN SUPER FANFICT WRITER!

Name: Lucy Squama
Age:24
Home region: Hoenn
Hometown: Lavaridge Town, a small hot spring village located at the foot of the impressive Mt. Chimney. The underground molten
Appearance: at 6 ft 2. long black hair that reaches down to the knees, and a sleeveless tank top and shorts, Lucy can be said to be a true beauty, and an irresistible lure... all the more concealing just what she hides under her face.
She enjoys the outdoors, and loves her pokemon a lot. She is secretly a member of the International Police, and uses her good looks and battling skills to help apprehend unsuspecting criminals. There are even rumors that Lucy isn't even her real name, and one she only adopted because she is a fan of the Battle Pike Leader. She can be abit haughty and aloff at times, but once you earn her trust, she becomes a large cuddle bunny... one that can kick your ass, but still a large cuddle bunny that loves children.
Trainer status: Vetran. Having been a trainer for 5 years, she knows the ins and out of her 4-mon squad, and can be a devastating opponent. However, she also likes to play dumb, to lure her opponents into a false sense of security before she smashes their win condition apart.
Motivation: The reason she became a trainer, and for that matter, a member of the International Police, was because 5 years ago, her younger brother's pet Swinub was stolen by a pokemon thief. Determined to get it back, she raced off to become a trainer, while also helping those in need along the way. As the years passed, she still hasn't given up hope, and writes letters back to her family and brother on how she's doing...
Team:
Charybdis (Gyarados, F)
Adamant
Charybdis was her starting pokemon. 5 years ago, she caught it as a Magikarp using an Old Rod, and leveled it up ALL THE WAY TO EVOLVING by itself... even if it meant using it as an actual flail on wild mons to knock them out. As a Gyarados, Charybdis is actually rather mellow, and spends most of her time, sleeping... but if you actually wake her up and get her mad, she WILL tear your team a new one. When she wants something done, she will not hesistate to get it done, and can't be talked out of it.

Jubilee (Seviper, F)
Naive
Jubilee was caught as Lucy's second pokemon. it was the leader of a horde of Seviper that ambushed her, but Charybdis, still a weak Magikarp at this point, came out of her pokeball to protect her master. Amused and touched by the fish's bravery, Seviper allowed herself to be caught and named Jubilee. As a member of the team, Jubilee loves to poison, and her fangs make everything fear them. A steel type? she can BREATH FIRE! She believes she is the top of the world... though a quick smack from Charybdis puts her back in place.

Smog (Weezing, M)
Modest
Smog... is an odd member of the team. Lucy found him one day as he was floating around a pokemon center and caught him in one pokeball.

Hyperion (Salamance, M)
Jolly
Hyperion is the most powerful member of Lucy's arsenal, and is only saved for when she needs the extra umph to take down a foe. He's always happy when he's called out, and at times, acts like an oversized puppy that doesn't know his own strength. This has led to a child getting injured because of him, and since then, Lucy keeps him in the pokeball more often than not, or on a VERY tight leash. When he is fighting, he is an agile, destructive monster that is capable of bursting down walls... lately though, he's been showing fear of Azumarrils and Togekiss's, as well as Granbulls and Wigglytuffs (Anyone who gets what I'm getting at gets a cookie.

Normalcy returns...and here's my Trainer guy:

Name: Joel Mundy
He has a strange fascination with Ghost type Pokemon and they make up almost half of his team.
Trainer status: Veteran. Joel has been training Pokemon since before some of the main characters were born. Originally he was a Pokemon Poacher but his old age caught up to him and now he spends most of his time with his Pokemon.
Motivation: Joel feels remorse for the various Pokemon he's poached over the years and is trying to forget his hunting days.

-Klefto (Kingdra) F
Nature: Hasty
Characteristic: Somewhat stubborn
A bit of odd circumstances fell on the only non-Ghost type on Joel's team: She was saved from poachers by Joel after they attempted to skin her for her precious hide.

-Eastwood (Trevenant) M
Nature: Quiet
Characteristic: Often lost in thought
Eastwood was found in Santalune Forest as an abandoned egg. Joel raised the egg until it hatched into a baby Phantump. Being the youngest member of the team, Eastwood isn't as powerful as everyone else and is actually quite scatterbrained. He'll occasionally get lost in his own thoughts prompting others to either snap him out of it or play jokes on him (if it's Zosky).

-Spade (Dusknoir) M
Nature: Calm
Characteristic: Thoroughly cunning
If there's one Pokemon Joel's rivals truly fear, it's Spade. Spade has a dastardly history of being an extremely cunning and quick-thinking Dusknoir. With a variety of status and stat changing moves at his disposal, Spade can turn the tide of a battle very quickly. Outside of battling, Spade doesn't really bond with any of Joel's team members, but he does take a particular liking to Eastwood.

Well, I don't know much about pokemon, so if something should be changed, tell me.

Name: Felix Aurora

Motivation: Felix battles simply because he loves pokemon, much like any young person. As such, he chooses pokemon based on looks, not powers.

Team:

-Gill(Croconaw) M
Nature: Brave
Gill is a very boastful pokemon, showing off very often and throwing smug looks here and there. Even when a pokemon much stronger than him comes along, he stands his ground, although less confident. He is the most loyal pokemon Felix could ask for.

-Jaba(Croagunk)
Nature: Relaxed
Jaba is a gluttonous blob of a croagunk. He is slightly chubbier than most croagunks, and this is because of his love for food. He will eat mounds upon mounds of food, and sometimes even hides some in his mouth when he retreats into a pokeball, hoping to get a snack inside. This does not mean he doesn't respect Felix's desires, even if he has to get up and battle. Jaba loves Felix, and he gets bonus food when he wins a battle, so its a win-win for him. Felix found him in his journeys in Sinnoh.

-Bonzai(Tyrunt) and Bilbo(Cranidos)
Nature: Brave(Bonzai) and Timid(Bilbo)
Bonzai and Bilbo are best friends, sharing food, space, and a trainer. Felix found Bonzai and Bilbo as eggs, getting them from a shady dealer who thought he was giving him magikarp and metapod eggs for a Tyranitar. After he got them to hatch, Bilbo and Bonzai immediately became best friends, having hatched together. Bonzai is the leader of the two, getting the shyer Bilbo to do crazy and adventurous things. They defend each other fiercely, and become sad when separated. (These 2 count for 2 slots.)

Hope you like them!

^I think you've misunderstood "nature" on a Pokemon. It's not a personality description (well, it is, but that's not the point), but an actual value from the games that affects stats.

A simple web search should give you a list to chose the in-game natures closest to the ones you listed.

Or, since it's not a required part of the template, you could scrap them altogether.

Your call.

Ok, let's do this.

Name: Cesar LaRoux
Age: 18
Region: Kanto
Big time.
Motivation: Sinnoh's a new frontier for Cesar. New Pokèmon and new friends await him. He, like many other ambitious trainers, plans to obtain all eight badges and assume the throne in the Pokèmon League.

Team:
Aquamarie (Lapras, Female; Nature: Bold): Cesar's most trustworthy compassion.

King Acid (Nidoking, Male; Nature: Adamant): The Yin to Aquamarie's Yang, King Acid is a no-nonsense kind of Pokèmon.

Bebe (Miltank, Female; Nature: Quirky): Bebe is Cesar's newest Pokèmon, but one who has already found a welcome place on his team.

Boomer (Growlithe, Male; Nature: Hasty): Boomer is Cesar's pet, and, much like Ash's Pikachu, stays out of his Pokèball most of the time.

Phew. That took a while.

HayesAJones wrote:^I think you've misunderstood "nature" on a Pokemon. It's not a personality description (well, it is, but that's not the point), but an actual value from the games that affects stats.

A simple web search should give you a list to chose the in-game natures closest to the ones you listed.

Or, since it's not a required part of the template, you could scrap them altogether.

Your call.

^I'd like to keep starters native to their own home regions. A Charizard found in Johto is something I'd like to avoid, so please either replace him with another Pokemon on or change your region of origin.

Name: Ethan Mane
Age: 19
Home Region: Kanto
Hometown: Lavender Town
Appearance: Ethan has an average build, is 5'10, and has short silver hair
with lime green eyes. He wears a pink wool sweater with a cat face on it, and has
blue jeans.
Personality:Ethan is shy, and has trouble making friends. However, he is very
kind, and is nice to his pokemon.
Trainer status: veteran
Motivation: Ethan is a trainer because he wants to have fun battling and to
make friends with his Pokemon.
Team: Scarlet (Arbok) F
Nature: Sassy
Scarlet was Ethan's 3rd Pokemon. She, like her nature said, is sassy, and the
only Pokemon that doesn't have a strong bond with him. She will do anything
to win, and usually spams overpowered moves. She also hates to lose, and
doesn't understand type advantages.
Deemer M (Tauros)
Nature:Adamant
Deemer likes to fight, and is tenacious. He is courageous, but that usually
leads to him underestimating, and fighting pokemon he has disadvantages
against. He was the 4th pokemon Ethan caught, and has been loyal ever since.
Trunkosaur (M Venasaur)
Nature: Timid
Trunkosaur was Ethan's first pokemon, and is a tank. He is extremely powerful
but often underestimates himself, so he is surprised every time he wins.
-Quatzelacoatl (Rhyhorn) M Note: I don't want Rhyhorn to evolve.
Nature:lonely
Q. is shy. He Does his best in a fight, and wants
to be friends with the other pokemon.
~Sylv F (Sylveon)
Nature:calm
Sylv was the 2nd pokemon Ethan caught, and has became best friends with him.
Mech (Metagross) M
Nature:Naughty
I'm lazy today, so I'm just gonna say he's really powerful and stuffz.

Aaaaaaand the prologue is up! What's this? Hayes is actually ahead of schedule on a story? What? Huh?! MADNESS!

Ha hah, I've actually begun writing the first chapter already too! In it, we shall meet out protagonist and his rival- Ryder and Max! As well as a few old faces to boot!

--

Also, I don't know what the hell I was thinking when I said that sign ups ended on December 10th. That is definitely not this Saturday. That's, like, Tuesday of next-next week.

They actually end November 30th. So, if you want to submit a character and haven't gotten around to it yet, hurry up! The clock is ticking! Ticking!

Wait a second. People don't age in the distortion world. It's a place where time and space don't flow, so Cyrus would be the same age as he went in... oh forget it, tis a minor nitpick.

And spoilers for those who haven't played X and Y, of course. Looker... keep doing your job. And try not to loose this partner like you lost your Croagunk after the events of Platinum, okay?

Thanks and here's my character.

Name: Henry Wilson

This has increased his tactics in battling as well as his pokemon's strengths.

Motivation: His motivation to become a trainer was about 55 years ago when he was tired of hearing of all the injustice and how non of the police stopped the local gangs. He is also very much against the abusing of pokemon by the likes of Team Rocket, Galactic, etc.

Shellshock is Henry's first and oldest of his pokemon.

Characteristic: Proud of it's Power
Darkness represents Henry's dark deeds in what he had to in his past and constantly feeds on those actions. Darkness has a dark sense of humor and not only eats on those dark actions but regular food as well. It doesn't really satisfy him in hunger but loves the taste of the food. He also loves to scare people/pokemon though this doesn't mean he always does this type of stuff he's quite friendly to his group members and is even consider the joker of the group. Always cheering his fellow pokemon and his trainer up when they all seem to be depressed.

- Venerable (Slaking) M
Nature: Calm
Characteristic: Likes to Relax

Likes Shellshock, Venerable loves to relax but unlike the turtle, Venerable is literally a wall of defense. He is always there to act as a barrier for his pokemon allies letting them heal or regroup for a counter attack. Though lacking in both speed and attack he does make up for a lot of HP, meaning it will take a long time to take this one down. Venerable cares for his fellow Pokemon then if not then the whole group would have been defeated a long time ago for good. Not only likes to sleep but loves to eat and be entertained hence why Darkness and himself consider each brothers. Venerable reflects on Henry due to both being tired from all this battling and have seen a lot as well. Despite not being the oldest of Pokemon he sure acts like the oldest

- Inferno (Flareon) F
Nature: Modest
Characteristic: Highly Curious

Inferno is not only the youngest but the least experienced of the group. Henry took her under his leash only a few years ago when she was being threatened by a pair of Team Rocket goons. Ever since then she has always been protected by the other pokemon and even look at her like a little sister. She is very powerful in specializing in Special Attack meaning that she would KO her special attack opponents in two, maybe one hits. Inferno loves to journey around areas and is highly curious about how life goes. Inferno is also very caring and will always be there for her group and trainer.

How's that Hayes?
