Think of it this way: you know all their 'mons! Now you can load up specifically to beat 'em. Just grab a buttload of Electric-types and Dragon killers and you can mow 'em down.

I kid. I do find the fact Ryder and Lucian are friends a little odd. I wouldn't expect him being pals with an Elite 4 member. and the most annoying of the lot at that. Effing Bronzong.... but alas, I do like seeing this story starting off on a good foot. And happy infernape is best infernape.

So far, so good! You portrayed Ryder's character really well, got him down better than I originally had in my head. And Max is perfection. She is such a self coincided snob, I love her. Looking forward to the next chapter!

You portrayed Ryder's character really well, got him down better than I originally had in my head.

I'm glad to hear that, because I was a bit worried by his first impression. Pretty much all he did this chapter was get puffed up about Max (which wasn't exactly flattering for him) and josh around with people he was already close to, so his softer/shier side didn't get much exercise. I hope to remedy that next chapter though.

Fun fact: it was only suppose to be the first part of a much larger chapter, but after realizing that it would dwarf the previous two entries if I kept going, I decided to break it in half. Thusly, a good chunk of the next chapter has already been written. And I offer as proof...
