GODZILLA LEGACY - My take of a Godzilla Anime!

Post by KaijuX »

I meant to update this last night, but I was having too much fun last night! :P So what is the project, exactly? Well I'll tell ya! The Project's name is GODZLLA LEGACY, and it is...

"The world of Godzilla Legacy is an alternate history world that is going to follow the 1954 story. This world, we have Saradia, Selgina and Rolisica, along with a divided JSDF. So as we fall into hell-on-Earth in the year of 65 *K.E. (2019 A.D./C.E.), our lead character is Sadao Atsushi, a Kaijuologist who studies these giants for a living. Along with him is a quirky Kaijuologist partner, Tomoko Kawano, and a cynical, but still caring, standalone engineer/mechanic Arata Yamashita. When they stumble upon a woman with great potential, a nightmare from the ocean returns..."

...My take of a Godzilla Anime.

Huge update peeps. Turns out that my artist buddy, CerberusSEL, will not be able to work on the Legacy project. As it stands now, he has a lot of projects to work on and won't be able to have the spare time to do Legacy. So I am currently seeking out any good talent of the anime/manga style.

This actually sounds very neat and creative just from reading the synopsis, especially the kaijuologist idea and Rolisica! Good luck on this project, it certainly has potential.

Interesting. Hope this turns out well. But I have a question, which incarnations of monsters would you two be using?

^ For the most part, all the official Toho monsters will be of our own redesigns, though there will be a nice dash of existing designs on them. ;)

I've always wanted to see kaijuologists incorporated in a Godzilla story. Very excited for this! :D

On another note, since it's been a while since I've last mentioned anything! XD But I think it's safe to say that I can introduce one important aspect of Godzilla Legacy--the world!

Total population of the world in the year 65 *K.E.?

2.5 billion, estimate.

Umm... Big change of plans.

With the realization of how big of scale this would be, I've decided against making it. Now don't get me wrong: I would LOVE to do this, but the only problem is that it's so BIG of a project that it would be too expensive. So you can call this a dead project... Sort of! Now don't get me wrong: in the future, I have plans on reworking the story of Godzilla Legacy into a new Kaiju project: The Legacy of Saonda. Now this won't stop me from making a fanproject from me, I'm just not going to do Legacy.

Ya gotta do what ya gotta do, right? Better officially lay it to rest than leave it in limbo for all eternity.
Any links and such for Legacy of Saonda, or is it still in the "concept" stage?

Still in the concept stage. This one I probably won't reveal on anything because I have the intent on making this a self-published work! Though where to start, beyond me at the moment, lol. XD

Holy crap, I *completely* forgot I made this thread... I'm not sure if I still have that old image, but do consider it no longer practical. Godzilla Legacy has been retro-fitted as a dA series with a different artist, world, and storyline in mind!
