Megalon versus Gamera

Rules: Gamera can not use mana blast attack.

Megalon can/will spam beam and napalm balls.


Most people will probably side with Gamera, but I believe Megalon has a good chance here. Gamera seems to be easily injured by attacks that penetrate (stabing/slicing attacks), and Megalon has two giant drills that combine into one. Also, he could beam and napalm ball Gamera to death.

That's cool and all but you should still give stats. Not everyone has seen every kaiju film ever made. Shit I didn't know Gamera had a mana beam until I saw G2: Advent of Legion back in 2003.

Right now there really is no mod for this spot. The're still trying to work that out and I'm just telling for future reference that it's in the rules to post states.


Anyways Gamera has this. Megalon has enough powers to kill many kaiju but he isn't bright enough to do it. He never tried to drill or stab Godzilla and JJ with his drill arms. He just whacked them with it.

Gamera for the win. Megalon has some great weaponry, but it's competent to use it to its fullest potential. Gamera, on the other hand, is known for pulling off sudden wins by desperate means.

When he wasn't under control, he bounced around like a friggin retard, striking action poses and panicing when bombarded by jets.

Gamera. Even if Megalon could use his full arsenal wisely, and use his drills properly, Gamera would win. Why? Gamera may be frail and easily damageable, but he can survive terrible damage, from getting impaled by sonic cutters, catching the explosion of a super-powerful beam and gettign his shoulder blown off by it, falling off the sky when almsot in space, and gettign impaled and dozen times or so by laser whips and tendrils....You can keep blowing him apart and he will just keep coming back. And Megalon's attacks are much weaker than that of Legion and Iris. He's not going to lie Gamera's city-block busting fireballs either.

Who says that he was controlled to begin with? He could have willingly obeyed orders.

Gamera wins. Megalon has a powerful arsenal, but it won't give him an edge. Gamera has been stabbed through before, so drills won't kill Gamera. Also remember that Gamera has control of fire, and if he was surrounded by by a circle of fire, like Godzilla and JJ were, Gamera could use the fire to his advantage. Besides, Gamera is a quick and agile flier, which Megalon is not. Gamera could easily launch multiple plasma balls from flight and fry Megalon.

It's not that Megalon is weak, he has a lot of power and abilities to kill most kaiju. The issue with him is that he isn't very bright. He needed Gigan to tell him what to do. On his own he isn't smart enough to use his powers to his advantage.

Gamera on the other hand is an escape artist, he will pull off the most desperate moves to escape or kill his target even going so far as to blow off his own limbs!

I voted for Gamera once I learned it was Heisei Gamera. He's got a do-or-die attitude that keeps him fighting even when things are looking bad for him. His fireballs are also really powerful and his flying attacks are a lot more potent than Jet Jaguar's "flying collision" attack. Megalon's powerful and even when he's not being controlled he's got some good moves, but Gamera tends to start his fights off with a fireball or three. Megalon's dull enough to let Gamera get in a free punch and that'd cost him big time.

Gamera wins. Megalon is one of the stupidest kaiju in existence, and Gamera has some pretty decent ways of dealing damage. Sure, so does Megalon, but I doubt he could use them effectively.
